About Dragon House

Dragon House, situated at 2436 Lake Cir Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46268, USA, falls under the category of a Chinese Restaurant, offering dining options that include a dinner buffet. Based on recent customer reviews, there are significant concerns regarding the current state of Dragon House, particularly concerning the buffet, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the quality of service. This introduction aims to provide an objective summary of these customer experiences to inform local users in the Indianapolis area.

The environment of Dragon House, according to recent feedback, appears to be a significant area of concern. One reviewer described the place as "very dirty," a serious indictment that suggests potential issues with hygiene and maintenance. The specific observation of a box of lettuce being on the floor further supports this claim of uncleanliness. Such conditions can be off-putting to customers and raise concerns about food safety practices within the establishment. Another reviewer who visited on a Saturday night noted that there was "no one in there eating," which could be indicative of the restaurant's current reputation or the dining experience it offers.

The service at Dragon House has also been a point of criticism in recent reviews. One customer who attempted to dine at the buffet at 8:15 PM on a Saturday night reported that there was "literally nothing other then green beans out." While staff did offer to have food made, the customers opted for a refund due to the unwillingness to wait, suggesting a lack of readily available options even during typical dinner hours. The subsequent interaction with the staff regarding the refund was also negative, with the reviewer stating that "the lady argues for 5 mins until giving a refund." Such argumentative behavior when addressing customer dissatisfaction can significantly detract from the overall service experience and lead to a negative perception of the restaurant's customer care.

A primary feature of Dragon House, as mentioned in one of the reviews, is its dinner buffet. However, the feedback on this buffet is overwhelmingly negative. One customer who had visited years prior and found it "okay back then" noted a significant decline in quality. They described the buffet as "very small" and the price as "outrageous" considering the limited selection. The reviewer estimated that there were perhaps only 15-20 items available, but a major issue was that the buffet was frequently "out of most items," severely limiting the choices for diners. Furthermore, the available options were described as "lukewarm," raising concerns about food safety and palatability. The combination of a small selection, lack of availability, and improper food temperature paints a very unfavorable picture of the dinner buffet at Dragon House.

Adding to the negative perception of the environment and service, one reviewer also mentioned disturbing observations about other customers, stating that some were "dirty and digging their hands in the ice cream." This not only points to a lack of supervision or enforcement of hygiene practices by the restaurant staff but also creates an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary experience for other diners. This type of behavior, if not addressed, can further contribute to a negative overall impression of the establishment.

The culmination of these negative experiences led one reviewer to explicitly state that the place "has seriously gone down hill" and to suggest that "This place needs to be checked by the Fishers Health Dept." This strong recommendation for a health inspection underscores the severity of the concerns regarding cleanliness and food safety raised in the review. The fact that a former patron, who had a neutral experience in the past, now strongly advises against visiting indicates a significant and concerning decline in the restaurant's standards.

Given the strong and consistent negative feedback regarding the cleanliness, the limited and poorly maintained buffet, and issues with customer service, Dragon House appears to be facing significant challenges in providing a satisfactory dining experience for its customers. The lack of available food at the buffet during dinner hours, the lukewarm temperature of the food, and the reported unsanitary conditions are all serious concerns for local users considering this Chinese restaurant.

For local users in Indianapolis, particularly those in the vicinity of Lake Cir Dr, the recent reviews for Dragon House serve as a strong warning. The issues raised are not minor inconveniences but rather fundamental problems related to food availability, quality, cleanliness, and customer service. The fact that one reviewer found the buffet price "outrageous" for what was offered further suggests a poor value proposition. The lack of customers on a Saturday night, as noted by another reviewer, could be a reflection of the restaurant's current reputation based on experiences like those shared in these reviews.

There is no information provided in the available reviews regarding any promotional offers or special deals at Dragon House. Considering the significant negative feedback, it would be prudent for potential customers to exercise extreme caution before choosing to dine at this establishment. It might be wise to seek more recent reviews from other sources to see if there have been any improvements or if the issues reported are ongoing. However, based solely on the provided information, it is difficult to recommend Dragon House to local users at this time.

Should've looked at the reviews before coming here. I had been here years ago and it was okay back then. However, now this place has seriously gone down hill. The dinner buffet price is outrageous considering it's a very small buffet. There are maybe 15-20 items to choose from, but they were always out of most items so you are limited to the lukewarm options they have. This place is very dirty too. We saw a box of lettuce on the floor. In addition, some of the other customers were dirty and digging their hands in the ice cream. This place needs to be checked by the Fishers Health Dept.

Went at 815 on Saturday night. No one in there eating. We pay and go to get food. There was literally nothing other then green beans out. They did yell back to have food made. However We asked for a refund as we did not want to wait. The lady argues for 5 mins until giving a refund. Will not be back

If you looking to get you fix of fried chicken wings, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. The wings were fried entirely too hard, and they give you half wing portions. I also got The Singapore Chow Mei Fun and Fried Scallops. Both were Underwhelming and disappointing. Definitely will not be spending any more money here!!
