About Dragon Gate

Dragon Gate is a Chinese Restaurant located at 11232 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026, USA. Based on customer reviews, the experience at Dragon Gate appears to be varied depending on whether it's for dine-in or takeout.

One customer who dined in had a surprisingly positive experience, exceeding their expectations despite the ordinary appearance of both the exterior and interior. They highlighted the extremely prompt and polite service, noting that the food arrived quickly, was hot, and full of flavor. They also found the prices to be very reasonable for the Pembroke Pines area and expressed a strong intention to return, rating their experience 5/5.

In contrast, another customer who placed a to-go order had a less favorable experience. They found the food to be just okay, nothing special, although the portions were good. However, they described the service during pickup as horrible and expressed concern about the potential service quality for dine-in customers. This reviewer stated they would prefer to spend their money elsewhere.

Based on the available information, Dragon Gate seems to offer a positive dine-in experience with prompt service, flavorful food, and reasonable prices. However, the quality of the takeout service may be a concern. Local users considering Dragon Gate should weigh these contrasting experiences. No information regarding the environment beyond its ordinary appearance or any specific promotional offers is available from these reviews.

I am going to start this off by saying this place blew the roof off of my expectations. From the outside it looks very ordinary , and honestly the inside does too , but… The service was extremely prompt and polite ; The food was in front of us before we even finished ordering, it was hot and flavorful . The price very reasonable for Pembroke Pines . 5/5 will come back

Food was ok, nothing special. Portions were good. Did not dine in, just did a to-go order. Service was horrible and all I did was pickup, so I can’t imagine how it would be if I was eating there. I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

The last review I did for this staple of a restaurant was about 5 years ago. I've been patronizing this authentic Chinese restaurant for almost 20 years. Now it is under new ownership. I walked in to a newly renovated restaurant. I only asked that the quality of the food remain consistent. So I ordered the half duck and mix soup. Had not had the duck for 3 years. The Duck was so tender and juicy. Well cooked served with white rice. My only disappointment was the sauce was too salty to eat and add to the rice. The mix soup was a bit different. It didn't have that clean look and taste. But it was very good. I used to love the bok choy and shrimp. So I will be back. Still friendly and respectful service.

Please please please bring back the "authentic". I have been a customer of this place for over 10+ years. I love the fact it was truly authentic Chinese food, starting with the rice. But today I ordered vegetable fried rice (something I've been ordering from this restaurant for over 10 years) and it seems they have switched the rice to the single grain fake rice that most of the Chinese restaurants have switched to. They are sacrificing quality for volume... Terrible :-( Please please please bring back the authentic quality Chinese rice the restaurant used to serve with the old owners. My advice is if it's not broke don't fix it. You bought the Chinese restaurant because of its following. And the following was there because of the quality and its authentic food. It's okay to remodel the location... But don't change the quality of the food and recipes. That's my two pennies. I'll gladly come back once you let me know that you've returned to the Quality ingredients and authentic rice.
