To provide a more nuanced understanding of what to expect at Dragon Garden, let's delve into the experiences shared by some of their patrons. These firsthand accounts offer valuable insights into the restaurant's strengths and areas where they might have room for improvement, allowing potential customers to form a well-rounded opinion.
One reviewer recounted their experience with the Kung Pao Chicken, noting that while the chicken itself had a slightly rubbery texture, the overall flavor profile of the dish and the accompanying vegetables were commendable. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the preparation of certain ingredients, but highlights the deliciousness of the sauces and the freshness of the vegetables used. The reviewer also pointed out a discrepancy in the lunch menu description, where "fried rice" was listed but turned out to be white rice with soy sauce. This is an important piece of information for lunch patrons who might have specific expectations regarding their rice accompaniment. On a more positive note, the wonton soup received a mixed review, with the broth being described as good, but the wonton dough being a bit thick and doughy. This indicates that some aspects of their appetizers are well-received, while others could benefit from refinement. Importantly, this reviewer lauded the excellent service and the cleanliness of the dining room, suggesting a pleasant and well-maintained environment for those choosing to dine in. Despite the noted shortcomings in the food, the positive experience with the service and ambiance encourages a return visit.
Another customer shared their general satisfaction with the food quality at Dragon Garden, stating that it is "great." Their primary concern, which prevented a perfect five-star rating, revolved around the consistency of vegetable proportions in certain entrees, specifically mentioning dishes like Mongolian beef. This reviewer noted that on a couple of occasions out of approximately fifteen visits, vegetable-heavy dishes, like the Mongolian beef, consisted predominantly of onions (around 75%) with a smaller portion of the actual meat (about 25%). While this issue was not a frequent occurrence, it led to significant disappointment when it did happen. This feedback underscores the importance of consistent ingredient ratios in dishes to ensure customer satisfaction and value for money.
Considering these reviews, prospective diners can anticipate a generally positive experience at Dragon Garden Chinese Restaurant, characterized by flavorful dishes and commendable service within a clean dining environment. However, it's also prudent to be aware of potential inconsistencies in ingredient textures (as noted in the Kung Pao Chicken review) and the occasional imbalance in vegetable-to-meat ratios in certain entrees. The discrepancy regarding the lunch menu's rice description is also a point to note for lunchtime visitors.

Customer Reviews
I had the Kung Pao Chicken. The chicken was a little on the rubbery side but the flavor of the dish and the vegetables were delicious. On the lunch menu, they state fried rice but it is just white rice with soy sauce. The wonton soup broth was good but the dough for the wontons was to thick and a little on the doughy side. Service was excellent and the dinning room was very clean. I'll try this place again.
The food is great! My only complaint and the only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because sometimes the entrees that come with vegetables (Mongolian beef etc) will be a majority just onions. My Mongolian beef tonight was probably about 75 percent onions and 25 percent beef. It's only happened twice in the 15 or so times I've ate there but when it does it's a major disappointment.
Wow, our first time here and we are very impressed. My wife and brother and I ordered take out at 4pm on Fri July 1, 2022. I ordered the curry beef, I only like beef, onions and green peppers with my curry and they did it right. The curry is fantastic; plenty of sauce, the meat is tender and the onions and peppers are fresh. Pretty spicy curry sauce so beware if you don't like spicy. If you are a curry beef lover then you will be happy. My wife had the Mongolian beef with noodles, she really enjoyed it. It has beef, onions and chives, and the noodles also had a great flavor. My brother had the General Tso's chicken, he also enjoyed it (see pics of all dishes). Plenty of parking, centrally located; the inside is spacious and very clean and has a comfortable feel to it. Prices are great, we paid ~30 bucks for everything so it's very affordable and you get very large portions. This is now our go-to for Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend.
I happened to see this restaurant next to the fire station while exiting the mall across the street. Never knew it was there. It turned out to be a hidden gem. I say hidden because it's not visible from the main road and it's overshadowed by the fire station. I love Beef & Broccoli and haven't had a good one since leaving Chicago.i gave it a chance. Wow! It's so good. I used to grab a burger while running errands. Now, I look forward to calling in and picking up a delicious order from Dragon Garden on my way home. 😋
I’m from out of town and this was near where I was at so I stopped by. I was NOT sure about this place before stepping in but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. For starters the inside is a stark contrast to the outside. Elegant and a wonderful atmosphere. The menu is hardcover and not overwhelming at all and the food is divine. Very glad I stopped here and I will be making the drive just to come back.
