About Dragon Dragon
Dragon Dragon, located at 878 Post Rd in Warwick, Rhode Island, is a Chinese restaurant that has recently experienced a change in ownership. Previously a favored local spot, recent customer reviews indicate a significant shift in the quality and taste of their food, prompting a need for potential customers to be aware of these reported changes. As a listing within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, it is important to consider the most current feedback when evaluating Dragon Dragon as a dining option.
One recurring theme in the recent reviews is the noticeable alteration in the food following the change in ownership. A long-time patron, who considered Dragon Dragon their "favorite spot for years," reported a lack of sauce in their chicken and broccoli combination plate. Upon a second visit, this customer observed a change in the flavor of the sauce in the chicken and broccoli, as well as in the rice. While they noted that the food wasn't "awful," it no longer matched the original quality they had come to expect and appreciate. Consequently, this customer stated that they would most likely not eat there again, expressing hope that the ownership change might be temporary.
Another review was even more critical, emphatically stating "NEW OWNERSHIP DO NOT BUY ALL ITEMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR WORSE, THIS IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT RESTAURANT WITH THE SAME NAME." This strongly worded feedback suggests a drastic departure from the restaurant's previous standards. The reviewer, who used to consider Dragon Dragon their favorite Chinese food spot in Warwick and regularly ordered the chicken wing combination meal, detailed significant negative changes across multiple menu items.
Specifically, the chicken wings were reported to be about half the size and seasoned with a different, cheaper-tasting seasoning. The rice was described as cold and tasting as if it had been microwaved, even though the customer waited at the restaurant for the food to be prepared and picked it up immediately. The egg roll was also criticized for being smaller and poorly cooked, soaked in oil that was apparently not heated to the correct temperature, making it "gross."
This critical reviewer also mentioned speaking with other former loyal customers who had observed a decline in the quality of all the items they had tried since the new ownership took over. The sentiment expressed is that the new owners may have attempted to cut costs by using cheaper ingredients, which has resulted in a significant drop in food quality and a negative impact on customer satisfaction. The reviewer concluded with a sarcastic remark about the likelihood of this business strategy succeeding.
Due to the overwhelmingly negative recent feedback concerning the food quality under the new ownership, it is challenging to provide a positive description of the restaurant's current features. The aspects that likely made Dragon Dragon a favorite in the past, such as the taste and quality of their chicken and broccoli, chicken wings, and egg rolls, are now reported to be significantly worse. The change in rice quality, with reports of it being cold and microwaved, further detracts from the overall dining experience.
Information regarding the environment and services of Dragon Dragon under the new ownership is limited in these reviews. There are no comments on the restaurant's ambiance or the attentiveness of the service staff. One reviewer did mention waiting in the restaurant for their takeout order, indicating that they do offer takeout service. However, the focus of the feedback is squarely on the diminished food quality.
Similarly, there is no mention of any promotional offers or specials that Dragon Dragon might currently be running. Given the negative reviews regarding the fundamental quality of the food, any promotions might not be enough to entice previous customers or new patrons who are aware of the reported issues.
In conclusion, Dragon Dragon at 878 Post Rd in Warwick, RI, has undergone a change in ownership that, according to recent customer reviews, has resulted in a significant decline in the quality and taste of its food. Former favorite dishes like the chicken and broccoli combination, chicken wings, and egg rolls are now reported to be prepared with different, often cheaper ingredients and with less care. The rice has also been criticized. Potential customers should be aware of this recent feedback before deciding to dine at or order from Dragon Dragon. It may be prudent to seek more up-to-date reviews or consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Warwick area to ensure a satisfactory dining experience. Given the strong negative sentiments expressed by former loyal customers, proceeding with caution is advisable.

This was my favorite spot for years but recently I have noticed a change in the food. I have noticed that the owners had changed, initially I thought nothing about it but when I had my food it lacked sauce in my chicken and broccoli combination plate. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave it another try but the flavor of the sauce on the chicken and broccoli and the rice changed. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t the same. I most likely won’t eat here again due to it not matching the original quality this restaurant used to have. I just hope the owner change is only temporary, I really used to love this restaurant.
NEW OWNERSHIP DO NOT BUY ALL ITEMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED FOR WORSE, THIS IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT RESTAURANT WITH THE SAME NAME. This used to be my favorite Chinese food spot in Warwick. I always got the chicken wing combination meal and it was delicious, but recently ownership has changed and all of the food looks and tastes completely different than they used to and it’s MUCH worse. Chicken wings are about half the size and use a different cheaper seasoning, and the rice was cold and tasted like it was just microwaved (I waited in the restaurant as my food cooked and picked it up as soon as it was ready). The egroll was smaller and cooked terribly, the oil it was cooked in wasn’t heated enough, so it was just soaked in oil and gross. I have also spoken to other friends who once loved this restaurant, all of the other items have changed for the worse. Someone bought the business and thought they could make all the menu items with cheaper ingredients and still stay in business, good luck 🤣🤣.
FAKE REVIEWS FROM OWNERS!! DO NOT BUY NEW OWNERSHIP DIFFERENT CHEAPER RECIPES!!! My good friend left an honest review speaking about how the ever since ownership of the restaurant has changed the food is now MUCH worse (Chinese buffet quality). Less than 12 hours after my friend posted his one star review, two people by the name of “Dondup Yeshi” and “ san zhang” who I’m assuming are the owners left themselves fake 5 star reviews. They will probably make more accounts and leave fake reviews. The food here is disgusting, I previously rated this restaurant 5 stars. But now it is a 1 star restaurant, this is now Chinese buffet quality food. Don’t waste your money, threw away my shrimp fried rice with chicken and broccoli to get Wendy’s instead.
The Delivery guy was very friendly. The prices are great. you can feed two people for around $30.00 and I'm happy I could order online without an expensive middle-man delivery service like DoorDash. I'm so glad to support a small business. The food was fresh and delicious. This is my new favorite place for Chinese.
My wife and I placed an order for delivery. We spoke to some guy who took our order. We asked what was in the seafood delight, and guy said lobster meat, shrimp, scallops and crab meat. No lobster, imitation crab meat and scallops sliced thin. Ordered 2 shrimp egg rolls and paid for them and didn't get any. Called and complained but they too cheap too take care of the problem. Told them we will never go back again. They just lost a good new customer cause they are incompetent like 99 percent of the Chinese restaurants in Warwick. Stay far away from this dump!
