About Dragon Concourse
Dragon Concourse is listed as a Chinese restaurant located at 74 E 167th St in the Bronx, New York (NY 10452), USA. As a business within the Chinese Restaurant category, it would typically be expected to offer a variety of Chinese culinary dishes, likely available for takeout and potentially delivery to local customers. The provided contact information includes a local phone number, (718) 681-3388, and a mobile phone number, +1 718-681-3388, which would serve as the primary means for customers to place orders or make inquiries.
However, the available customer reviews paint a consistently negative picture of Dragon Concourse, raising significant concerns about food quality, freshness, and customer service. These reviews detail specific issues that potential local users should be aware of when considering this establishment for their Chinese food needs.
One customer reported a problem with the freshness of the pork in their won ton soup, stating that "2 pieces pork look like it was far from fresh, been through the ringer." This observation suggests a potential lack of attention to the quality and freshness of ingredients used in their dishes, which can significantly impact the taste and overall dining experience.
Another, more severe review described a negative experience with seafood ordered from Dragon Concourse. The customer noted an "odor was too much" associated with the seafood. Initially, they attributed this to the general smell sometimes associated with seafood. However, the odor was later linked to a similar smell from calamari brought by a family member from another location. Subsequently, the customer reported experiencing food poisoning symptoms, including vomiting and repeated trips to the restroom, after consuming the seafood from Dragon Concourse. This incident raises serious concerns about the handling and freshness of seafood served at this establishment and the potential health risks to customers.
Adding to these issues, a long-term customer of over 30 years shared a deeply disappointing recent experience. This reviewer acknowledged that there had been "plenty of times where things wasn’t the freshest" in the past, but they had often tried to "eat around it" due to a reluctance to waste food. However, on this particular occasion, the lack of freshness was "unbearable." When they brought this issue to the attention of the restaurant staff, they were allegedly "brushed it off as if it was my fault!" This response indicates a severe lack of customer service and a failure to take responsibility for potential issues with their food quality. As a result, this long-time patron vowed never to return and advised others to seek alternative Chinese food options.
Finally, another customer reported a negative interaction while attempting to place an order. They stated that the online information indicated delivery service, but when they tried to order, they were told that delivery was not available. When the customer inquired about the actual address to walk to the location, the person on the phone, described as "rude as ever," allegedly hung up on them. This account highlights extremely poor customer service, a discrepancy between advertised services and reality, and a dismissive attitude towards customer inquiries.
Based on these consistent negative reviews, it is challenging to describe any positive features or aspects of Dragon Concourse. The recurring themes of questionable food freshness, potential food poisoning, and rude customer service overshadow any potential positives that a Chinese restaurant might typically offer, such as a diverse menu or reasonable prices (which are not mentioned in the reviews). The lack of positive feedback also makes it difficult to infer anything about the restaurant's environment or ambiance, as customers seem primarily focused on the negative aspects of their food and service experiences.
There is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special deals at Dragon Concourse. The focus of the online feedback is solely on the negative experiences encountered by customers.
In conclusion, Dragon Concourse Chinese Restaurant in the Bronx, NY, has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from the few available customer reviews. These reviews cite significant issues including:
- Potentially Stale Food: Reports of pork in won ton soup appearing far from fresh.
- Risk of Food Poisoning: A customer reported severe illness after consuming seafood with a suspicious odor.
- Inconsistent Food Freshness: Even a long-term customer noted repeated issues with food not being fresh.
- Poor Customer Service: Complaints of staff being rude and dismissive of concerns about food quality.
- Misleading Information: A discrepancy between advertised delivery service and actual availability, coupled with rude handling of inquiries.
For local users in the Bronx, NY, considering Dragon Concourse for their Chinese food needs, the available online feedback strongly suggests exercising extreme caution. The reported issues with food freshness and the potential for food poisoning are serious concerns. Additionally, the accounts of rude and unhelpful customer service indicate a potentially unpleasant interaction. Given the negative experiences shared by multiple customers, it would be prudent for local residents to explore other Chinese restaurant options in the area that have more positive and reliable feedback regarding food quality and customer service. The information available does not support recommending Dragon Concourse at this time.

Ordered won ton soup, where 2 pieces pork look like it was far from fresh, been through the ringer. Had seafood where the odor was too much. Didn’t think nothing of it till my family member reminded that brother brought calamari down the block and had similar odor. Since seafood tend to have that smell. Eventually made me throw up and go repeatedly to the restroom. Been a faithful customer forever over 30yrs. Yes plenty of times where things wasn’t the freshest usually find a way to eat around it since hate throwing food away. But this around it was unbearable. Brought it to their attention and they brushed it off as if it was my fault! Never going back, and advise people to go to other chinese food spots.
Rude as ever when I tried to order. It comes up that this place delivers but they don't . And when I was asking for the actual address of the location to walk there the lady hung up on me . Horrible way to customer service.
They are racist here. They think every hispanice/black person who pays with a 20$ bill or more that it's fake. This place should be shut down
They’re so nice. I order from here in the regular. If there’s ever any misunderstanding, they’re quick to fix it. Fast delivery too!
