Based on recent online reviews from customers, the experiences at Dragon Chinese Cuisine appear to be overwhelmingly negative, with significant concerns raised about the quality of the food and the value for money. One reviewer expressed initial hope for a positive experience, noting their fondness for good Chinese food. However, their visit was marked by the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty upon their arrival, which in hindsight, they suggested should have been a warning sign. They found the Orange Chicken to be lacking in flavor and the chow mein to be unsatisfactory ("bleh"). Even the Thai Tea, a common beverage offering in many Asian restaurants, was reported to be subpar. The only positive aspect mentioned by this reviewer regarding the food was the freshness of the vegetables. Despite this, they found the meal to be "really expensive for Chinese food" and concluded that they would not recommend Dragon Chinese Cuisine and did not plan to return.

Another customer who ordered delivery also reported a highly negative experience. They specifically requested their order of six egg rolls to be fresh; however, upon arrival around 2:40 PM, the egg rolls were described as "stale dry" with a "chalky taste." This indicates a significant issue with the freshness and quality of this particular item. The same reviewer also ordered the house fried rice, which contained shrimp, beef, and chicken. They reported that both the beef and the chicken tasted old, "as if it was done a different day," while the shrimp was the only component deemed acceptable. Additionally, they ordered orange chicken and beef and broccoli, and their order unexpectedly included noodles that they did not request. These noodles were described as "dry" and having "absolutely no taste." The customer also expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the cost, stating they paid "like 80 or 90 something dollars," which they felt was excessively expensive for the terrible quality of the food received. Furthermore, they noted being given only six packets of soy sauce for their entire order. This overwhelmingly negative experience led this customer to emphatically state that they would "not order from here again."

Given these two recent and detailed negative reviews, it is challenging to objectively highlight positive aspects of Dragon Chinese Cuisine based solely on this information. Both customers reported significant issues with the quality and freshness of multiple dishes, as well as concerns about the pricing relative to the quality received. One reviewer also noted a lack of flavor in a popular dish (Orange Chicken) and a poorly prepared beverage (Thai Tea).

Based on the provided reviews, it is difficult to ascertain details about the environment of the restaurant, as one review focused on a dine-in experience where the lack of other customers was notable, while the other was a delivery order. There is no description of the restaurant's decor or ambiance available in these accounts.

Similarly, information about the services offered is limited. One reviewer mentioned that the service by the employees during their dine-in visit was "okay," but this was overshadowed by the negative food experience. The delivery customer did not comment on the ordering process itself, but their experience highlights potential issues with order accuracy (receiving an unrequested item) and the provision of adequate condiments (too few soy sauce packets).

Features of Dragon Chinese Cuisine, such as signature dishes or unique offerings, are not positively highlighted in these reviews. In fact, dishes that are typically popular, like Orange Chicken and house fried rice, received negative feedback. The stale and poorly prepared egg rolls also do not suggest a strength in their appetizer offerings.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Therefore, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about any specials, discounts, or new menu items.

In conclusion, based on the recent online feedback, Dragon Chinese Cuisine in San Diego, CA, appears to be facing significant challenges in terms of food quality and value. Customers have reported issues with the freshness of ingredients, the flavor and preparation of key dishes such as Orange Chicken, chow mein, house fried rice, and egg rolls, as well as concerns about high prices relative to the quality received. One reviewer also noted a subpar Thai Tea. While one customer found the employee service to be "okay," this was not enough to offset the negative food experience. The overwhelmingly negative nature of these recent reviews suggests that local users should exercise caution when considering Dragon Chinese Cuisine. Potential customers may want to look at more recent reviews or perhaps try a small order initially to assess the current quality before placing a larger order. As there is no positive information regarding the environment, services, or special features in these reviews, and no promotional information provided, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly for the most up-to-date information and to make an informed decision based on a broader range of feedback if available.

I was really hoping to have a positive experience here because I love some good Chinese food. Unfortunately, although the service by the employees was okay, we should have taken a hint that there was literally no one else eating there when we arrived. The Orange Chicken didn’t have much flavor at all and the chow mein was bleh. The Thai Tea wasn’t even good. Only reason for two stars on food is that at least the veggies were fresh. It was also really expensive for Chinese food. I wouldn’t recommend and don’t think we will be back.

I literally just ordered from this restaurant and my food was delivered around 2:40pm I gave directions for my eggrolls to be fresh I ordered 6. They are not. They are stale dry and have a chalky taste. I also ordered the house fried rice, which came with shrimp, beef, and chicken. The beef taste old as if it was done a different day the chicken as well. The shrimp are fine. I ordered orange chicken, beef and broccoli and they gave me noodle as well that I didn’t ask for, which are dry and have absolutely no taste. I think I ended up paying like 80 or 90 something dollars very expensive for my food to be this terrible and they only gave me like six packets of soy sauce for everything that I ordered. Will not order from here again.

This place is clean and comfortable to bad the food was terrible. The noodles were mushy and had no flavor. The orange chicken was not crispy and had more breading than chicken. I got pieces of breading with no chicken .... chewy. Fried rice had no flavor.

The food itself was really delicious I like the flavor of the food what I dislike is that they give you small portions when you're spending your hard-working money this lady gave me a small portion and I spent $20 dollars. And then she got an attitude and said that would be extra money if I want more portions. I think the workers are not very welcoming and they should give bigger portions if someone is paying their money! This place is expensive and they don't give you what you pay for.

No wonder there was no one on a Saturday at lunch time. Place is dirty, benches have stains and smell. Lunch for two ended up being 40 dollars for something less than the 11 dollar menu from the panda fast food chain. Will never ever come back again. They overcharge you. When I was doing my math as to why I paid 40 dollars for two simple plates a lady came in and asked why was she charged so much. Go figure. The place it’s empty and they try to get more money out of the people that do go. See the picture. That was 20 dollars (minus the missing rice and noodles)
