About Dragon China
Dragon China is a Chinese restaurant located at 1341 Parkwood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806, USA. They can be contacted at (828) 255-0777 or via their mobile number +1 828-255-0777. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Asheville community, Dragon China likely offers a variety of dishes from the Chinese culinary tradition, with options for both dine-in and takeout, although the focus of the available reviews is heavily centered on negative experiences related to food safety.
The available customer reviews for Dragon China paint a concerning picture, with multiple reports of severe food poisoning and allegations of poor cleanliness standards. One reviewer recounted a distressing experience where they enjoyed the taste of the food initially, only to become violently ill later, attributing the food poisoning to either the sweet and sour chicken or the crab Rangoon consumed from Dragon China. This reviewer strongly advised others to avoid the restaurant, citing other reviews that also complained about cleanliness, which this personal experience seemed to corroborate.
Following their initial review, the same customer added an edit, noting that they had seen other individuals reporting the same issue of food poisoning, not just recently but extending back over the past year. This pattern of similar complaints over time is particularly alarming, as it suggests a potentially ongoing problem with food safety practices at Dragon China. The reviewer expressed strong condemnation of restaurants that are "negligent" in this manner and implied the possibility of legal action if the issues are not addressed. This follow-up underscores the severity and potential persistence of the food safety concerns associated with this establishment.
Another customer shared a similarly harrowing experience, stating that they ordered Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, and vegetable lo mein from Dragon China the previous week and subsequently suffered "horrific food poisoning." This independent report of severe illness after consuming food from the restaurant further amplifies the concerns about their food handling and preparation practices. This reviewer also explicitly stated that they believe the establishment is "not clean" and has "very low standards," directly echoing the sentiments of the first reviewer and reinforcing the allegations of poor hygiene.
Considering these two explicit and serious accounts of food poisoning, along with the mention of other reviews complaining about cleanliness, there are significant red flags regarding the safety and hygiene practices at Dragon China. Food poisoning can have severe health consequences and indicates a failure in proper food handling, storage, or cooking procedures. The fact that these issues appear to have been reported by multiple individuals over a period of time suggests a systemic problem that potential customers should be acutely aware of.
The information available does not provide any positive feedback regarding the food quality, environment, services, features, or promotional information of Dragon China. The overwhelming focus of the recent reviews is on the serious issue of food safety. Therefore, it is impossible to offer a balanced introduction that includes positive aspects based on the provided data. The absence of any positive comments in these recent reviews further underscores the severity of the reported problems.
Given the nature of the feedback, it would be irresponsible to speculate on any positive attributes of Dragon China without any supporting evidence. The repeated and serious allegations of food poisoning and poor cleanliness must be the primary focus for local users in Asheville, NC, when considering this restaurant. These are critical issues that directly impact the health and well-being of patrons.
For local users in Asheville, NC, the strong and repeated warnings from multiple customers regarding food poisoning and potential cleanliness issues at Dragon China should be taken very seriously. Based on this information, it would be prudent to exercise extreme caution when considering dining at or ordering from this establishment. The potential health risks associated with consuming food that may have been improperly handled or prepared are significant and should not be taken lightly. It would be advisable to seek alternative Chinese restaurants in the Asheville area that have a more positive and consistent record of food safety and hygiene.
In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Dragon China in Asheville, NC, raise severe concerns about food safety and cleanliness, with multiple reports of food poisoning. Local users should be aware of these serious allegations and exercise caution when considering this restaurant. The lack of any positive feedback in the provided reviews further emphasizes the gravity of the reported issues. Potential customers may want to seek dining options elsewhere until there is clear evidence that these critical problems have been thoroughly addressed.

Food tasted great until I threw it back up. Got nasty food poisoning from their sweet and sour chicken or crab Rangoons at 4am. Don’t go here, seen other reviews complain about cleanliness, this just further backs those claims. Edit: I see other people have had this same issue not just recently but in the past year!! That’s pathetic. They’d best get it together before someone sues. Can’t stand restaurants that are negligent like this..
I ordered Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice and vegetable Lo mien from this establishment last week and it gave me horrific food poisoning please be careful with this place. They are not clean and have very low standards.
Completely satisfied with our selections. The vegetable rice noodles with added tofu and Singapore noodles were seasoned perfectly.
Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Fried rice was flavorless, chicken texture felt so weird like fake meat or another animal. Poor quality, I would rather eat Panda Express any day.
These guys have the best pork fried rice. There's another restaurant closer to my house but we always order from Dragon China! I love their egg foo young too!
