About Dragon Ball Restaurant

Located at 15609 Main St E in Sumner, Washington, Dragon Ball Restaurant operates within the Chinese Restaurant category and has garnered positive feedback from local customers, particularly regarding its value, food quality, and welcoming atmosphere. Based on recent reviews, Dragon Ball Restaurant appears to be a thriving establishment that offers generous portions at great prices, with several dishes receiving specific praise for their taste and freshness. It also seems to have a warm, family-oriented environment, making it a notable option for Chinese cuisine in the Sumner area.

One customer highlighted the "great lunch combo options" and "great prices," noting that the portions were also large. They were particularly impressed by receiving a "huge plate of delicious food that would have fed 2 people for $10." This feedback underscores the exceptional value that Dragon Ball Restaurant seems to offer, making it an attractive choice for budget-conscious diners who do not want to compromise on quantity or taste during lunchtime. The availability of combo options further suggests a variety of choices to suit different preferences, all at an affordable price point.

The same reviewer also specifically praised the fried egg rolls, describing them as "definitely a house-made variety, nice and crispy with abundant filling." This is a significant compliment, as house-made egg rolls often indicate a higher level of care and quality compared to pre-made or frozen alternatives. The description of them being crispy with a generous filling further enhances their appeal, suggesting a well-prepared and satisfying appetizer.

Another dish that received high praise was the pork egg fu yung, which the customer found to be "freshly fried and tasty" and covered with a "satisfying gravy." Freshly fried food often has a superior texture and flavor, and the positive mention of the gravy suggests that it complements the egg fu yung well, contributing to a delicious and satisfying meal.

An interesting and heartwarming observation from one reviewer was the apparent nature of Dragon Ball Restaurant as a "multi-generational family restaurant." They noted the presence of babies, young kids, 30-somethings, and elderly individuals "all hanging out off the clock mid afternoon on a weekday." This observation paints a picture of a close-knit family involved in the business, contributing to a potentially warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers. The reviewer found it "lovely to see a thriving establishment with a family working together," suggesting that the family-run aspect adds a unique and positive dimension to the dining experience.

However, one reviewer also shared a note of caution regarding parking. They were asked to move their vehicle twice after parking backed up close to the building along the curb. The reason given was that sometimes vehicles have been hit by others drifting through the gravel parking area. Despite being warned, the reviewer chose to stay put as there were no deterrent signs posted. They suggested that if the restaurant does not want people parking at the curb, they should consider posting signage or painting instructions on the building. This parking issue is an important point for potential customers to be aware of, especially if parking close to the entrance is a priority.

A first-time visitor also shared their positive impressions of Dragon Ball Restaurant. They found the atmosphere to be "good" and noted the presence of "lots of parking," which contrasts with the previous reviewer's curb parking experience, suggesting ample space in the main parking area. This reviewer also found the service to be "good." As for the food, they specifically enjoyed the honey walnut prawns and the stir-fried mixed veggies with scallops. The honey walnut prawns are a popular dish in many Chinese-American restaurants, known for their sweet and creamy sauce and crispy prawns. The stir-fried mixed veggies with scallops suggests a lighter and perhaps more health-conscious option with high-quality seafood. This reviewer also confirmed the positive experience with the egg rolls, describing them as "hot and crispy," aligning with the other reviewer's praise.

The concluding remark from this first-time visitor, "Give it a try and see if you like it," serves as a general recommendation based on their positive experience with the atmosphere, parking (in the main area), service, and food.

Based on these reviews, Dragon Ball Restaurant in Sumner appears to be a local gem that offers a compelling combination of value, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere. The great lunch combo options and large portions at affordable prices make it particularly attractive for midday meals. The house-made crispy egg rolls and tasty pork egg fu yung have received specific praise, indicating quality in their preparation. The presence of a multi-generational family working at the restaurant suggests a warm and personal touch to the service and environment.

The atmosphere is generally described as good, and there seems to be ample parking available, though customers should be mindful of the potential hazards of parking along the curb close to the building. The service is also reported to be good. Dishes like honey walnut prawns and stir-fried mixed veggies with scallops offer further variety and appeal to different tastes.

Great lunch combo options and great prices with large portions. I got a huge plate of delicious food that would have fed 2 people for $10. I also ordered the fried egg rolls and they were definitely a house-made variety, nice and crispy with abundant filling. I particularly found the pork egg fu yung freshly fried and tasty covered with a satisfying gravy. This appears to be a multi-generational family restaurant as there were babies, young kids, 30 somethings and elderly all hanging out off the clock mid afternoon on a weekday. It was lovely to see a thriving establishment with a family working together. Note on parking: I was asked to move my vehicle twice. I had parked backed up close to the building along the curb. I was warned that sometimes people drift through the gravel parking area and vehicles have been hit. I stayed put and took my chances. There were no deterrent signs posted. If you don't want people parking at the curb, please post signage or paint instructions on the building.

My husband and I were a bit hesitant to try this place because there weren’t any cars in the parking lot. I’m super glad we did because the food was amazing. The Mongolian beef was the best I’ve ever had and the sweet and sour pork wasn’t over cooked or over sauced. Highly recommend.

We ordered to go. Hadn't been here, but heard fairly decent things about this place. We ordered just 1 order of the egg rolls, and dragon ball chow mein. Chow mein want mushy, noodles cooked perfectly, really good flavor. Was actually really impressed, a definite do again. I'd honestly have to say best over all Chinese food around!!
