About Dough Zone Dumpling House Seattle International District

Dough Zone Dumpling House is a Chinese Restaurant located in the International District of Seattle at 504 5th Ave S #109, Seattle, WA 98104, USA. They can be contacted at (206) 285-9999 or their mobile number +1 206-285-9999.

This restaurant is particularly praised for its pan-fried dumplings with chili oil sauce, which one customer rated a perfect 10/10, describing them as "top-notch tasty!" The service is generally noted as quick and polite, and the restaurant has a clean and slick aesthetic, making it a recommended spot for dumpling lovers.

Upon visiting, one customer from Vancouver, Canada, observed that while the restaurant had ample staff on a Sunday afternoon, the reception area was unattended, requiring self-registration via a machine for seating preferences like tables or high bar. This customer, in their early pregnancy and preferring a table, noted that the manager directed others to use the machine as well.

This same customer also reported a potential security concern, having received a suspicious Mandarin-speaking scam call from Seattle within a week of their visit, the restaurant being the only place where they shared their phone number in the city. This remains unverified but is part of the customer's experience.

Regarding the dining experience itself, the customer initially requested a table but was offered high bar seating instead, possibly due to being a solo diner and available tables not being immediately cleaned. They ordered the Dan Dan noodles, which they found to be a very small portion compared to what they had experienced elsewhere, describing it as perhaps two large mouthfuls or an appetizer size. However, the noodles were noted to be very flavorful, though the sauce was rich and slightly greasy, causing minor stomach discomfort. The seating was not in a booth, which was unexpected. Despite the small portion, the customer found it suitable for their appetite at the time and mentioned being inclined to try the dumplings on a future visit, as they looked appealing.

In summary, Dough Zone Dumpling House is appreciated for its tasty dumplings and efficient service. However, potential customers may want to be aware of the self-service reception process and the portion size of some dishes like the Dan Dan noodles, as well as the reported, but unverified, security concern regarding phone numbers.

We are from Vancouver Canada and just came here for a quick visit last week as it was a long weekend in Canada. We saw this restaurant during an evening walk in Chinatown and I came here to check it out the next day. It was Sunday afternoon it was not super busy, they also had lots of staff, but no one was helping at the reception area. I saw a machine and figured I could register myself. It asked for your name, phone number and if you preferred a table or high bar seating. I was in my early pregnancy so I preferred a table. While waiting for my table, I did see other people asking the manager for help, but he told them just to use the machine by themselves, so I guessed I did the right thing. I got the urge to write this review because within a week of this visit, I just received a scam call from Seattle by a man speaking in Mandarin. Visiting this restaurant was the only time I shared my phone number in Seattle. The man asked me if I could hear him in Mandarin. Pretending I did not understand Mandarin, I replied in English and asked, "Who’s this?" and he replied in Mandarin if I could speak in Mandarin. I hanged up and he sent me a text to ask what happened. I hope someone will look into this if their system was hacked. I also wanted to make a note that when it was my turn to have my table, the manager told me he did not have any table right now and asked me if I could sit at high bar instead. I believed he just did not bother to clean up the table for me as I was by myself. A couple of big groups of customers just left and hence two long tables were available. I understood my bump was not visible, so I didn’t want to express my need again and just compromised. I ordered a Dan Dan noodle as I was not hungry and just wanted to checked out this place. Having eaten a lot of Dan Dan noodle at various restaurants/ countries, their Dan Dan noodle was by far the smallest portion I had ever seen. I took a video of it. It was like two big mouthful of noodle or an appetizer at a Korean restaurant. However, the noodle was very flavourful. It was not in a booth which was different from what I expected. The sauce might be a little bit too rich/ greasy for me. I had a slight discomfort in my stomach for the rest of the day. No complaints, though, as it was not expensive and the small portion just turned out to be perfect for what I needed. I might try their dumplings instead if I would come back to this restaurant because they looked good.

Really nice spot with decent prices in china town. I got the chicken soup dumplings and they paired excellently with the sweet and spicy cucumbers. The staff was very nice as well and worked very quickly. I also got a tea and it was delicious! I highly recommend this place!

We've been to this location before. Again, they didn't disappoint. Staff was nice and the vibe was great. The food was amazing as well. Haven't been to any of the other locations, but I'm definitely curious to see if other locations deliver the same quality :)

Okay, the food was edible and good. However, my only concern was that it did not taste fresh? Like it did not taste like it was made in the restaurant and instead tasted like it was frozen and was just fried/steamed for us…it’s a good place if you’re looking for fast and cheap dumplings or side dishes however, if you’re looking for dumplings that taste like they were made in-house..there are better options.
