About Dough Zone Dumpling House

Welcome to Dough Zone Dumpling House, a celebrated Chinese restaurant nestled in Federal Way, Washington, at 1706 S 320th St Suite L, WA 98003, USA. As a prominent establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Dough Zone has garnered attention for its commitment to delivering a genuine taste of China through its meticulously prepared dishes and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to the Seattle Southside area, Dough Zone Dumpling House offers a culinary experience that promises to tantalize your taste buds with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients.

Dough Zone Dumpling House prides itself on creating a dining environment that is both comfortable and welcoming. Based on customer feedback, the restaurant boasts a super clean and bright interior, contributing to a pleasant and hygienic dining experience. The well-lit space enhances the overall ambiance, making it an ideal setting for various occasions, from casual family meals to gatherings with friends. The attentive service provided by the staff further elevates the dining experience, ensuring that guests feel well-cared for throughout their visit. This focus on cleanliness and attentive service creates a positive first impression and encourages repeat visits from satisfied customers.

The heart of Dough Zone's appeal lies in its extensive menu of authentic Chinese delicacies, with a particular emphasis on dumplings and noodle dishes. Several customer reviews highlight specific items as must-tries, indicating the restaurant's signature offerings. The pan-fried pork buns, often referred to as mini bao, are consistently praised for their delightful combination of a crispy exterior and a savory pork filling. These bite-sized delights are a perfect starter or a satisfying snack.

Another standout item is the soup dumplings, available in both pork and chicken variations. Customers rave about the thin skin and the generous amount of flavorful soup encased within each dumpling. While one reviewer noted a subtle similarity between the pork and chicken versions, the overall consensus is that these soup dumplings are a delicious and quintessential dim sum experience. The careful preparation of these dumplings, ensuring a burst of flavorful broth with each bite, showcases the culinary expertise at Dough Zone.

The pork wontons with chili oil are also highly recommended. The reviewers specifically mention the pleasant tingly spice of the chili oil, which adds a layer of complexity and excitement to the dish without being overwhelmingly hot. This careful balance of flavors is a hallmark of Dough Zone's approach to its cuisine, appealing to those who appreciate a touch of heat.

Beyond the dumplings, Dough Zone's noodle dishes have also garnered positive attention. The cold noodles, with their distinctive and flavorful sauce, are described as springy and chewy, making for a refreshing and satisfying dish. Similarly, the Dan Dan noodles are lauded for their addictive chili numbing "burn," suggesting a more intense and complex flavor profile that appeals to spice enthusiasts. The positive feedback on these noodle dishes sparks curiosity about the quality and flavor of Dough Zone's entire noodle selection, hinting at a broader strength in this category.

To complement the richer, more savory dishes, the sweet and sour cucumbers are highlighted as a delightful starter, offering a refreshing crunch and a balance of flavors. This appetizer provides a palate cleanser and a contrast to the warmth and richness of the other dishes. However, not all menu items have received universal praise. One reviewer suggested skipping the steamed broccoli with seafood sauce, noting that the accompanying sauce did not harmonize well with the dish. This honest feedback provides valuable insight for potential diners.

Dough Zone Dumpling House also features other noteworthy items, such as the scallion pancakes. These are described as crisp and made fresh to order, with one customer noting that they took the longest to arrive but were well worth the wait. This indicates a commitment to preparing certain dishes with extra care and attention to ensure optimal freshness and quality. The positive feedback on the scallion pancakes further broadens the appeal of Dough Zone's menu beyond just dumplings and noodles.

We are visiting from out of town wish we had a place like this in the suburbs of Chicago! Super clean and bright. Service was very attentive. We enjoyed all the food. The noodles were yummy. Good amount of spice with the sauce. The scallion pancakes were crisp and made fresh. They actually took the longest to come out, but they were worth the wait. Soup dumplings were yummy. Thin skin with good amount of soup in each. I couldn’t really tell the difference between the pork and chicken. The pork wontons were also yummy with the chili oil. Again, nice tingly spice on my tongue, but not over whelming. I thought the cucumbers were a good crunch with all the steamy food we got.

When you need your dim sum fix, this is a pretty good spot. Pan fried pork bun (four mini bao per platter), pork and/or chicken soup dumplings and won ton with chili sauce are definitely MUST ORDER items on your visit. Sweet n sour cucumber is a delightful starter, but I’d SKIP the steamed broccoli as the accompanying seafood sauce neither matches the dish, nor is it appealing. Ordered the cold noodle (ooh that sauce!) and DanDan noodles (yum, that addictive chili numbing “burn”) where both were springy and chewy and enjoyable. Curious if ALL their noodle dishes are as flavorful? All in all a pleasant dining experience however I can’t help wondering if these small plates are really worth the hype - or price?

If you like Din Thai Fung you'll like this place. Same style but much cheaper. The spice is not as hot as other asian places, very mild. Flavor and service where amazing and kind. We had the chicken spice wonton, pork Buns, Spice Noodles (can't remember their name), and pork soup dumplings.

Pros - delicious dumplings specially their fried wontons and noodle dishes, very savory with umami flavors. Cons - the seats were extremely uncomfortable and the staff were inattentive even on a slow day. There's a QR code to view menu, and a paper to mark quantity of your orders. I think the price is reasonable compared to engimono. I would recommend this place.

This is a nice little spot with a huge reputation that I don't understand when compared to their equally famous competition. I'll be honest I was kind of disappointed in some items as they were lacking the punch of flavour we were expecting. The soup dumplings are excellent. The dough is thin like paper so they're not a ball of soggy mushiness inside and they have a deeply savory flavour. The pan fried beef buns are also good as both the filling and the bun are very tasty however the steamed dumplings, hightail shrimp dumplings and potstockers are bland. The Dan Dan noodles were very underdone and the sweet and spicy pickles could use some salt and a bit longer to marinate. We would still come back for more soup dumplings and pan fried beef buns. The customer service here is excellent as they're very attentive and there's always someone available on the floor to help customers. The tables are also very close together, I almost wiped items off the table next to me while getting up and trying to slide on by.
