About Double Dragon II
Welcome to Double Dragon II, a Chinese restaurant located at 3135 S 2nd St, Louisville, KY 40208, USA. Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Double Dragon II aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to the local community. You can contact them at (502) 366-9993 or via mobile at +1 502-366-9993 for inquiries or to place an order.
As a Chinese restaurant, Double Dragon II likely offers a menu featuring a selection of popular Chinese-American dishes, including noodle dishes like lo mein and ramen, rice dishes, various chicken, beef, and seafood entrees, as well as appetizers such as egg rolls and dumplings. These dishes are typically prepared using Chinese cooking techniques and a blend of sauces and spices to achieve familiar Chinese flavors. Chinese restaurants often cater to both takeout and potentially dine-in customers.
Based on recent customer reviews, Double Dragon II appears to be experiencing significant issues related to food quality, pricing accuracy, order fulfillment, and customer service. Potential customers should carefully consider these reported experiences before deciding to dine or order from this establishment.
One reviewer had a particularly negative experience with what they ordered as ramen. They reported paying $14 for a dish that they believed was simply regular noodles in a broth that tasted like "simple miso soup," which they felt was overpriced compared to the $4 typical cost of miso soup. They also ordered a spicy shoyu ramen for $10 that was not spicy and had to request spice separately. This customer expressed strong disappointment with the misrepresentation of the ramen dishes and the significant price difference compared to what they perceived the ingredients to be. They explicitly stated they would not return to the restaurant due to this experience.
Another customer, who is a regular, reported inconsistencies in their orders and pricing. They typically order a large plain lo mein for $7.50, egg rolls for $2.35, and sometimes fried dumplings for $7.50, usually resulting in a total of less than $20-$21. On a recent order of their "routine," they were given a higher total. While they initially assumed prices had increased, they later discovered that food was missing from their bag. Specifically, they received a large family-size lo mein priced at $10.50 instead of their usual large, and their egg roll was missing. Their total came out to over $24, which they found inexplicable based on the prices they were familiar with. They also noted the cashier did not provide a receipt, which they found to be a "red flag." While they acknowledged that the food itself wasn't "bad," they also stated it wasn't the best Chinese food they'd had, particularly mentioning the fried rice and sesame chicken. They did find the noodles, veggie egg rolls, and veggie dumplings to be good. This customer emphasized the importance of always getting a receipt and mentioned having to go back into the restaurant to ask for their missing egg roll.
Considering these reviews, the environment of Double Dragon II is not specifically described. However, the focus on takeout in the reviews suggests that their primary service might cater to customers who prefer to eat their meals off-premises. The mention of a cashier implies a typical counter-service setup for ordering and payment.
The services offered by Double Dragon II include takeout, as indicated by both reviewers. Delivery might also be an option, although it is not explicitly mentioned in these reviews. The issues reported with order accuracy and pricing transparency suggest potential inconsistencies in their service processes.
Features of Double Dragon II, based on the limited information, include a menu with items like lo mein, ramen (though its preparation is disputed), egg rolls, fried dumplings, fried rice, and sesame chicken. They appear to offer different sizes of noodle dishes, such as large and family size, with corresponding price variations. However, the inconsistency in food preparation (regular noodles being served as ramen), pricing discrepancies, and issues with missing items are significant concerns raised by customers.
No promotional information, such as discounts or special offers, is mentioned in the provided reviews. The issues with incorrect charges and higher-than-expected totals suggest that customers should be vigilant about verifying their orders and prices.
In conclusion, recent customer reviews for Double Dragon II at 3135 S 2nd St in Louisville, KY, indicate several significant problems. These include misrepresentation of food items (regular noodles sold as ramen at a high price), inconsistent pricing, missing items from orders, and a failure to provide receipts. While one regular customer found some of the food to be acceptable (noodles, veggie egg rolls, veggie dumplings), the overall sentiment is negative due to concerns about value for money, order accuracy, and transparency in transactions. Potential customers should be aware of these reported issues and consider them carefully before choosing to order from Double Dragon II. It is strongly advised to always request and verify a receipt to ensure accurate billing and to check orders thoroughly before leaving the premises to avoid missing items.

Customer Reviews
We had to pay $14 for ramen that turned out to be just regular noodles, and the taste was absolutely terrible. When we complained, the cashier insisted it was ramen, but it was very clear that it was just regular noodles. I also ordered a spicy shoyu ramen for $10, and even that wasn’t spicy. I had to ask the cashier, and only then did they give me the spice separately. I’ve eaten ramen at many other restaurants, but this is the first time I’ve encountered such an odd version. It tasted like simple miso soup, which usually costs only $4, with regular noodles and some pork added, but I had to pay $14—more than the shoyu ramen, which actually used proper ramen noodles. This was extremely disappointing, and I will not return to this restaurant.
I usually order a large plain lo mein for $7.50 and egg rolls for $2.35 and I also sometimes buy the $7.50 fried dumplings. So I know my total is usually the same. Less than $20-$21. And I ordered my routine and I was given a higher total but I picked up the menu and assumed the prices went up. I get into the car and search my bag and I’m missing food. I was given the huge family size lo mein for $10.50 and my egg roll was missing. My total was over $24 when it’s usually $19-$20. I don’t get how $22.65 leads to $24 and a lot of change but the cashier was slay and didn’t give me a receipt. I can assume there was an error or that the cashier thought I said “family size” and not a large. But the missing egg roll, the high taxes and the fact that he didn’t give me a receipt after I ordered and after I picked up food is a red flag. The food isn’t bad at all though it’s not the best Chinese food or fried rice and seasame chicken. The noodles, veggie egg rolls and veggie dumplings are good. ALWAYS get a receipt and I had to go back in and ask for a missing egg roll.
If I could give them a zero, I would. This is by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever ate in my life. Not to mention, they don’t give you soy sauce fork napkin anything. What a garbage place if you wanna waste your money get sick go ahead and order from here.
Love the food! The workers were very nice and social. This place has authentic Asian food!
The best Chinese food I've ever had. I would 100% recommend this place.
