Double Dragon

First time trying and the last time The house chicken special was terribly overcooked to the point of the chicken looking dry like jerky. It’s very disappointing because the sauce was amazing but the chicken non edible. I threw it away. I read other reviews and see they don’t care if you call and complain so I put it here.

There's a nasty old oil smell in the bag when I picked it up. Food was definitely oily and not fresh. These Chinese restaurants need a proper inspection by cook county.

I went in to order take out and it took them 15 min to complete my order. Orders that were place on the phone after my order were done before mines was done. I usually order online and my order would be ready by the time I came to pick it up. So is that what one have to do to get proper service?

We came here because the reviews were great but left disappointed. The food is different from our standard. I don't want to be blunt and rude in this review. We spent over $100 and did not finish 1/4 of our food. The staff is nice! The atmosphere is cool, there is a small casino room to play games. Very busy. So even though we might not had enjoy the food, others did.

It had been 15 maybe 20 years since we've been at this restaurant. We don't live as close anymore. So we ordered just about everything we could think of that we used to eat when we had been there in the past. Let me share the list of food with you first. Appetizers Regular egg, rolls vegetable egg rolls, shrimp toast, egg drop, soup crab meat raccoons, 2 cups of Chinese tea Main courses Vegetable lo mein ,sweet and sour pork, vegetable egg foo young . Yes it was only the two of us but we wanted to make sure we had enough food to take home Let me first say that when we walked in I was pleased to see that they were still open in light of the covid situation not many restaurants made it through that terrible time. The restaurant had to make some changes and it did not quite look the same but my husband and I who are both handicapped and we had our service dog were welcomed in with open arms. Our server couldn't have been more pleasant .Had a nice conversation with her during dinner and I'm assuming she's one of the owners. The food was delicious, so if you're looking for a great place to go out to eat for a quiet dinner I recommend the Double Dragon!
