Customer reviews for DOT WO (Memorial Rd) present a stark contrast in experiences, highlighting both significant dissatisfaction with the food quality and exceptional praise for the service, particularly concerning families with young children. This divergence in feedback provides a nuanced perspective for potential diners.

One reviewer expressed considerable disappointment with their recent meal. They ordered beef fried rice, one egg roll, and a veggie egg roll. According to their account, the veggie egg roll was unpleasantly "mushy," leading them to spit it out. The regular egg roll was described as "a little greasy" and tasting like it had been frozen. Notably, the veggie egg roll was also reported to be smaller than the regular egg roll despite being the same price, raising concerns about value consistency. The beef fried rice was described as "dark" and lacking the carrots, peas, or onions that were supposedly included according to the menu. This reviewer lamented not checking their bag before leaving and mentioned that a complimentary soup provided was bland. Ultimately, they did not recommend DOT WO, feeling it was a waste of money and expressing a general lack of good Chinese food options in the city.

In stark contrast, another reviewer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, stating they would give the restaurant "100 stars" if possible. This reviewer, a mother to a toddler, specifically praised the family-friendly atmosphere and the exceptional treatment they received. They highlighted that everyone working at DOT WO made their son feel "right at home" and consistently treated them very well. They specifically mentioned a waitress (whose name they couldn't recall but described as "amazing") who went above and beyond by teaching their son to use chopsticks and entertaining him, allowing the parents to eat their meal. This reviewer consistently had "amazing experiences" at DOT WO due to the "amazing people who work here," emphasizing the refreshing nature of eating out with a child at this establishment. This feedback strongly suggests that DOT WO excels in customer service, particularly in creating a welcoming environment for families with young children.

Based on these reviews, the environment of DOT WO (Memorial Rd) appears to be family-friendly and welcoming, at least according to one very positive account. The staff is described as going out of their way to accommodate and engage with young children, suggesting a patient and considerate approach to families. However, the negative review provides no insight into the ambiance or decor of the restaurant itself, focusing solely on the food quality and value. Therefore, while the service seems to contribute to a positive atmosphere for some, there is no comprehensive description of the physical environment available.

In terms of services, DOT WO clearly offers dine-in options, as evidenced by the positive reviewer's experience of eating at the restaurant and interacting with the waitress. Takeout service is also available, as indicated by the negative reviewer's experience with a to-go order. The friendly and helpful interaction described in the positive review suggests that customer service is a priority for the staff, particularly in making families feel comfortable. However, the issues reported with the takeout order (missing ingredients, poor quality) indicate potential inconsistencies in the preparation and quality control for off-premise orders.

The features of DOT WO (Memorial Rd) are somewhat ambiguous based on the conflicting reviews. The positive review highlights the exceptional family-friendly service as a significant feature, suggesting that this restaurant may be a particularly good choice for parents with young children. The willingness of the staff to engage with and entertain children is a notable differentiator. However, the negative review points to significant issues with food quality, preparation (mushy veggie egg roll, greasy regular egg roll, fried rice missing ingredients), and potentially value (smaller veggie egg roll at the same price). The bland soup also suggests a lack of flavor in some of their offerings. Therefore, while the service for families appears to be a strong point, the food quality seems to be inconsistent and a potential area of concern.

Currently, the provided information does not include any specific promotional details or special offers for DOT WO (Memorial Rd). To learn about any current promotions, lunch specials, or family deals that the restaurant might be offering, it is recommended to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers. Restaurants often have daily or weekly specials that are not always advertised online, and inquiring directly would be the best way to obtain this information.

In conclusion, DOT WO (Memorial Rd) in Oklahoma City presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one reviewer had a very negative experience with the food quality and value of their takeout order, another praised the restaurant for its exceptional family-friendly service and welcoming atmosphere for young children. Potential diners should weigh these contrasting experiences. If you are a family with a toddler looking for a restaurant where your child will be made to feel at home, DOT WO might be a good option based on the positive service feedback. However, concerns about food quality, particularly for takeout orders, have also been raised. Without further information, it is difficult to provide a definitive assessment of the overall dining experience at DOT WO (Memorial Rd). Individuals may want to consider these differing opinions and potentially try the restaurant themselves to form their own judgment, perhaps focusing on dine-in service if the family-friendly aspect is a priority.

Food was not good at all I had beef fried rice 1 egg roll and a veggie egg roll I spit out the veggie egg roll it was mushy the other egg roll was a little greasy and tasted like it was frozen. The veggie egg roll was a lot smaller than the egg roll and they are the same price. The rice was dark and didn't have any carrots, peas or onions according to menu it was supposed to have. SMH because I know better than to leave without looking in the bag. They gave me some soup and it was bland. I do not recommend this place I wasted my money. Will continue to make my own Chinese food there is just not any good places here in the city with good Chinese food

If I could give 100 stars I would! As a mom to a toddler, thinking about going to a restaurant can be overwhelming. But everyone who works here makes my son feel right at home and they always treat us so good! Our waitress (cannot remember her name but she is amazing) was teaching my son to use chop sticks and just entertaining him so we could eat. The food is always so good. We just had an amazing experience, we always do, and that’s because of all the amazing people who work here! Thank you guys for being amazing with kids! Makes eating out so refreshing.

I don’t make it to this side of town often, but since I was here I had to go grab some Dot Wo. This place has been a family favorite since I can remember. They use to know my Father’s first name because we went so often. I am glad that it hasn’t changed much. The location has though and I think this is a great spot for them. Fun interior and located in a sea of restaurants. I went with my favorite as a kid, Sweet and Sour Chicken with steamed rice. They give you so much food for such a good price. Always tastes great!

We had the Orange Peel Chicken and the Mala Ji Ding. The Orange Peel Chicken was not too sweet, with dried chilies, but missing any pieces of the described orange peel. The Mala Ji Ding is a stir fried chicken in a brown sauce with onions, chilies, jalapenos and red bell pepper. It was a little heavy with the oil. Both meals tasted good, but average as were the sides of hot and sour soup, the egg roll and the dumpling. The service was excellent.
