You can reach them at (317) 831-9883 or +1 317-831-9883 for any inquiries.

As a buffet-style restaurant, Dong's China Buffet provides a distinct dining environment compared to traditional sit-down Chinese restaurants. Customers can expect a spacious area with various food stations offering a selection of appetizers, main courses, sides, and desserts. The atmosphere is typically bustling and family-friendly, catering to individuals looking for variety and value. While specific details about the décor and ambiance of Dong's China Buffet in Mooresville are not extensively available online, Chinese buffets often prioritize functionality and ease of access to the food stations. Customers can usually expect a casual and welcoming environment suitable for groups and families.

The primary service offered by Dong's China Buffet is the all-you-can-eat buffet. This allows diners to serve themselves from a wide array of dishes, offering a great opportunity to try different flavors and combinations. While the focus is on the buffet experience, it is possible that Dong's China Buffet also offers takeout options. The second customer review mentions a preference for takeout due to a specific billing policy, suggesting that this service is indeed available. Customers are advised to call the provided phone numbers to confirm the availability of takeout and any specific procedures for ordering.

A key feature of Dong's China Buffet, as highlighted by a customer review, is the exceptional value for its price. The reviewer described it as "literally the best Chinese buffet we’ve ever had in this nation at this price level." This suggests that Dong's China Buffet aims to offer a satisfying dining experience at an affordable cost, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious diners and families. Another notable feature mentioned is the freshness of the food. The reviewer specifically praised the freshness of all the offerings, including unique dishes not commonly found at other Chinese buffets. This indicates a focus on maintaining quality despite the buffet format.

One particular highlight mentioned in the review is their "peanut pork/chicken," which the customer enjoyed so much that they had it every time they refilled their plate. This suggests a signature dish that is particularly popular among patrons. Additionally, the salad bar and fruits were also described as "impossibly fresh," indicating a commitment to quality across different food categories within the buffet.

While no specific promotional information is currently available, Chinese buffets often have their own pricing structures for adults, children, and seniors. They may also offer special deals on certain days or for large groups. The second customer review brings up a point about their policy of charging for a 3-year-old, which the customer found unusual as "most places do not charge for that age." This suggests that families with young children may want to inquire about the restaurant's pricing policy for toddlers before dining in. This customer indicated they would opt for takeout in the future due to this particular policy.

The two provided customer reviews offer valuable insights into the experience at Dong's China Buffet. The first review is overwhelmingly positive, praising the price, freshness, variety (including unique dishes), and the quality of the peanut pork/chicken, salad bar, and fruits. This suggests that many customers find the buffet to be an exceptional value with fresh and diverse food options.

The second review is also generally positive regarding the food and service ("Good food, good service"). The customer's only complaint pertains to being charged for a 3-year-old, which they found to be an uncommon practice. This piece of feedback is important for families with very young children to consider. It does not detract from the perceived quality of the food and service but highlights a specific policy that might influence dining preferences (leading to a preference for takeout in this case).

Considering these reviews, Dong's China Buffet appears to be a local Chinese restaurant in Mooresville that offers a well-regarded buffet experience. Customers can expect a wide variety of fresh dishes, potentially including unique items, at a price point that many find exceptional. The positive feedback on food quality and service suggests a commitment to providing a satisfying dining experience. However, families with very young children should be aware of their pricing policy for toddlers.

In conclusion, Dong's China Buffet at 370-530 S Indiana St in Mooresville presents itself as a Chinese restaurant specializing in a buffet format. It is praised for its affordability, the freshness and variety of its food (including unique offerings like peanut pork/chicken), and good service. Local users looking for an all-you-can-eat Chinese dining experience with a focus on value and fresh ingredients may find Dong's China Buffet to be an excellent choice. However, families with toddlers should inquire about their pricing policy for young children before dining in. Takeout service may also be available for those who prefer to enjoy their meal off-site.

For the price, this place is exceptional. We went to this place after driving for the whole morning, totally worth it! Literally the best Chinese buffet we’ve ever had in this nation at this price level. Everything was so fresh, they even had some food that was unique that you won’t see at other Chinese buffets. Personally I love their peanut pork/chicken, I had it every time I refilled. Their salad bar and fruits were also impossibly fresh.

Good food, good service. My only complaint is being charged for a 3 year old. Most places do not charge for that age. Will just get take out next time.

Our first time here. We came because we heard it was really good from local chat boards on Facebook. We got here at 8pm on a random Thursday, am hour and a half until close. Only about 3-4 items that we tried had been out a little long, but easily upwards of 20+ items still wonderfully fresh. Everything tastes Great, and for me, especially the walnut chicken. Yes, walnut chicken. A nice white sauce that makes it look suspiciously like coconut shrimp at other buffets, but it most assuredly is not. A Must have. 5 islands of food. 3 of dinner items, 1 of salad and salad like things, and 1 completely for dessert. The servers are constantly doing stuff. Cleaning, grabbing empty plates from tables, checking drinks. It is refreshing to see. With two other solid Chinese buffets Much closer to my house (about 5 and 8 minutes away versus 18) we will definitely be back. Talked to the guy at the counter while taking the picture of the prices. He said it was only slow due to the weather being rainy, and that they have been here for 30 years. I bet they make 30 more easily. Edit to add: normally when I get home after eating my fill at a Chinese buffet my stomach rebels some for the evening. After here? Just a delightfully full tummy of great food. Will be going back.
