About Do Eat Restaurant

Do Eat Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 4543 Mission St in San Francisco, CA 94112. Situated on Mission Street, it offers Chinese cuisine to the local community, primarily focusing on takeout and delivery services based on the available information. You can contact Do Eat Restaurant at (415) 347-7263 or their mobile number +1 415-347-7263 for inquiries or to place an order.

The customer reviews for Do Eat Restaurant present a stark contrast in experiences, indicating a potential inconsistency in service and order handling. One customer detailed a negative experience involving an order placed for spinach and soup. After being informed that spinach was unavailable, the customer opted to keep only the soup and requested a refund for the missing spinach. According to the review, the restaurant did not provide the refund and allegedly became unresponsive. The customer expressed strong dissatisfaction, labeling the restaurant as "dishonest and greedy" and stating an intention to never order from them again and to discourage others from doing so.

This negative reviewer further elaborated on the situation, mentioning a dispute regarding the refund process through a third-party platform (implied to be GrubHub). The customer accused the restaurant of providing misleading information about their inability to process the refund due to a lack of card details, arguing that the restaurant had contacted them for a replacement order, thus having a means of communication. The reviewer suggested that the restaurant was intentionally delaying the refund to potentially retain the money. This led to the customer expressing a loss of trust in both the restaurant and the third-party ordering platform, with a stated intention to escalate the issue to news media and advise consumers against using their services. The customer also clarified that the initial order was placed in Cantonese, refuting any potential excuse regarding language barriers with the staff.

In stark contrast to this highly negative account, another customer shared a positive experience, identifying Do Eat Restaurant as their "favorite go-to place to order on Doordash." This reviewer specifically praised the "duck + crispy pork rice" and "crispy pork and rice" entrees, highlighting the "very generous" portions and "consistently amazing" flavors. They also noted the "wonderful value for the price" and found the scallion pancake to be "decent." This positive feedback suggests that Do Eat Restaurant is capable of providing high-quality food and generous portions that some customers appreciate.

Considering these divergent reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive assessment of the environment, services, and features of Do Eat Restaurant. The negative review focuses primarily on issues related to order fulfillment and customer service regarding a refund, with no mention of the dine-in environment. The positive review also seems to be based on a delivery or takeout experience, again providing no insight into the restaurant's ambiance or dine-in service. Therefore, based solely on the provided reviews, there is no reliable information available about the restaurant's physical environment or the quality of service for dine-in customers.

The feature most prominently highlighted by the positive review is the quality and value of specific dishes, namely the duck and crispy pork rice options, along with the generous portions. This suggests that these dishes might be specialties or popular choices at Do Eat Restaurant. However, the negative review raises concerns about the restaurant's handling of order modifications and refunds, which could be a significant drawback for customers who encounter similar issues. The discrepancy between these experiences indicates a potential lack of consistency in service or order management.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any special offers, discounts, or featured items that Do Eat Restaurant might be promoting to attract customers.

In conclusion, Do Eat Restaurant at 4543 Mission St in San Francisco presents a mixed picture based on the limited customer feedback. While one reviewer praises the generous portions, amazing flavors, and value of their duck and crispy pork rice dishes when ordered through Doordash, another customer recounts a highly negative experience with a missing item, a disputed refund, and accusations of dishonesty. This significant divergence in experiences suggests that potential customers should be aware of the possibility of issues with order handling and customer service, particularly when dealing with modifications or refunds through third-party platforms. However, for those who have had positive experiences with specific dishes and appreciate generous portions, Do Eat Restaurant might still be a viable option for takeout or delivery, especially if you are ordering popular items like the duck and crispy pork rice. Without further information, it is impossible to comment on the dine-in experience or any unique features of the restaurant beyond the conflicting reports of food quality and service reliability.

I ordered some spinach and soups. Restaurant contacted me saying they don't have spinach and wants to know what else I want instead I told them I'll keep the soup and nothing else. I asked for refund. The female didn't respond and never refunded my spinachⁿ portion of the bill. They're dishonest and greedy I will never order from them again. The restaurant replied my review saying they don't have my card info. What a loaf of crap. They know how GrubHub works. They contacted me for a replacement order. Now they said they don't have information on my card for a refund? They can always call me to obtain the information. They knows after 48 hours they can keep the money for themselves. These greedy dishonest people I will not order and refer them to anyone else. As for GrubHub I'll never use their services again. The restaurant replied my recent update on my review. Now they're saying I ordered on GrubHub app etc ..... Once again what a loaf of crap At least they can contact GrubHub to refund me and reduce the fees paid. GrubHub and the restaurant conspires to make money the easy way to scam consumers that use their services. These greedy services providers cannot be trusted I'll contact CNN and other news media to advice consumers not to trust and use their services. To the restaurant owner you don't need to reply for further excuses. I have enough BS from you Thank you good day. I almost forgot that day I didn't speak English I spoke Chinese Cantonese to be extract. So, don't give me that your staffs not good with English. Total BS. TO ALL CURRENT AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS OR PATRONS BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!

This is my favorite go-to place to order on Doordash. I order the duck + crispy pork rice and crispy pork and rice entrees. They are always very generous with portions and flavors are consistently amazing. It is a wonderful value for the price. The scallion pancake is decent too! You won't regret it.

Delicious! Yummy! I haven’t had this taste in so long and this reminds me of home. I love the chicken which isn’t the usual kind you can get from US. It is also nice that the roasted pork has crispy skin! The roasted duck is also super tasty. Not much of an area for dine in but most are here for take-outs/deliveries. The owners and staff are super friendly too. Love this place!

Classic Chinese dishes like BBQ pork over rice $12 is one of my sentimental favorites. When I see BBQ meats hanging in the window of a shop, I get vulnerable if I'm hungry. Do Eat's version pays homage to this dish with soft BBQ pork, oily vegetables, a bed of rice and BBQ pork au jus poured over the rice. Not dry at all. I prefer the fatty pieces because it has more flavor. Service was excellent.

I love this spot, it is family run, and relatively inexpensive for large portions! I always get the Mongolian beef over fried rice, it is made to order and they pack the togo container. Depending on my mood I either get a side of crispy pork or bbq pork, both are so bomb you could not go wrong.
