About DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤
Located at 4520 University Way NE in Seattle, WA 98105, USA, DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 is a Chinese restaurant situated in the bustling University District. As a Chinese restaurant, DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 appears to specialize in barbecue, offering a variety of grilled items, including meat skewers and potentially seafood, as suggested by its name which translates to Dalian Seafood BBQ. The restaurant can be contacted by phone at (206) 547-5432 or via mobile phone at +1 206-547-5432 for inquiries about their menu, hours, or reservations.
Based on the limited customer feedback available, the dining experience at DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 seems to have both strong points and significant drawbacks. One reviewer described the restaurant as "really authentic" and enthusiastically recommended the "meat skewers" as a "must get" dish, giving them a double thumbs-up. This suggests that the meat skewers are a standout item on the menu, potentially representing the restaurant's expertise in authentic Chinese barbecue. However, this same reviewer found the "BBQ buns" to be just "okay," indicating a potential inconsistency in the quality or appeal of different menu items. They also expressed anticipation to try more dishes in the future, suggesting an overall positive initial impression despite the lukewarm feedback on the BBQ buns.
In stark contrast, another customer shared a highly negative experience, particularly concerning the portion sizes relative to the price. This reviewer stated that they "never leave reviews for food places but this is outrageous," emphasizing the extremity of their dissatisfaction. They reported that they and a friend spent $30 per person and yet "left hungry." This is a critical point of concern for potential customers, as it suggests that the value proposition might be poor, with small portions for a relatively high cost. The reviewer even recommended opting for an "all you can eat kbbq" (Korean barbecue) for that price, implying that other dining options in the area might offer significantly more food for a similar expenditure.
Considering these two reviews, local users in Seattle's University District should approach DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 with a degree of caution. While the restaurant seems to offer authentic barbecue, with the meat skewers being a highly recommended dish, there are significant concerns regarding the portion sizes and pricing. The stark contrast between the positive feedback on the authenticity and the negative feedback on value suggests a potential trade-off that diners will need to consider.
The limited information available makes it difficult to assess other aspects of the restaurant, such as the environment and services. The positive comment about authenticity implies that the restaurant might cater to those seeking genuine flavors from the Dalian region of China, which is known for its seafood and barbecue. However, the negative comment about feeling hungry after spending a considerable amount of money is a serious issue that could deter many potential customers.
For local users in the University District, the convenience of the location on University Way NE might be a factor. However, the strong feedback regarding small portions and high prices suggests that diners should be prepared for this aspect of the experience. If authenticity and the meat skewers are a high priority, and price and portion size are less of a concern, then DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 might be worth trying. However, those looking for good value and generous servings might want to consider alternative options in the area, as suggested by one of the reviewers.
Without further information about the restaurant's ambiance, service quality beyond the food, or any potential promotional offers, it is challenging to provide a more comprehensive introduction. The current objective assessment based on the provided reviews highlights a potential dichotomy: authentic and tasty barbecue (specifically the meat skewers) on one hand, versus small portions and high prices leading to dissatisfaction on the other. Local users will need to weigh these factors based on their own priorities and budget.
In conclusion, DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 in Seattle's University District offers what at least one reviewer considers authentic Chinese barbecue, with the meat skewers being a standout dish. However, another customer reported a very negative experience due to extremely small portion sizes relative to the high prices, leading to them leaving the restaurant feeling hungry after spending a significant amount. Local users considering dining at DL BBQ 大连海鲜烧烤 should be aware of this conflicting feedback and might want to inquire about portion sizes and prices before ordering. If authentic barbecue is a priority and budget is less of a concern, the meat skewers might be worth trying, but the overall value proposition appears to be questionable based on the current reviews.

It's really authentic and the meat skewers are the must get dishes!!👏👏 However the BBQ buns are just okay. Looking forward to try more!!
I never leave reviews for food places but this is outrageous. The portion is very tiny for such high price. My friend and I spent $30/person and left hungry. Go to an all you can eat kbbq for that price.
Waited for more than 1.5 hr outside while most tables were empty. Unreasonably SLOW and the waitress was arrogant. Some food is cold when serving. Expensive choice for a lunch considering the amount, quality, and service. Will never eat here again.
Order Pickup two times in Fantuan App of this restaurant, both two times missing items, first time they said , “yes we missed, What do you want then?” I talked with them and they said next time give me 20% off. Then the second time, still missing items, and no one answer the phone, ridiculous.
I dunno why the raitings are low... but it’s good. It’s really good.
