About District III
District III, situated at 7140 Avalon Blvd in Alpharetta, Georgia, offers a unique dining experience by serving both Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. Located within the Avalon development, the restaurant boasts a great atmosphere with cozy booths and tables, making it a pleasant place to dine.
Based on customer reviews, District III is a popular spot, especially for dinner on Thursday nights, with tables often being full. It is recommended to make reservations for dinner to ensure seating. A standout appetizer is the mango wings, which have been described as a surprising favorite, featuring tender and juicy chicken wings with crispy skin and a flavorful sauce enhanced by the extra kick of mango.
Another highly recommended dish is the soft shell pineapple curry. While the online description mentioned crabs in the curry, they were served on the side. Customers suggest adding the crabs to the curry to allow them to absorb the sauce and soften the shell. The menu also includes other popular Thai and Vietnamese dishes such as drunken Thai noodles (available with customizable spice levels), pho, pad Thai, and various curries. Appetizers like spring rolls and egg rolls have also been well-received.
For dessert, the green tea cheesecake with ice cream and the mango sticky rice are highly praised. The restaurant also offers a selection of tasty drinks, prepared by staff like Reese.
A notable feature of District III is its ability to cater to different preferences, with great vegetarian options available. The staff is consistently described as attentive and friendly, with servers like Annie being particularly helpful in answering questions and providing recommendations.
Overall, District III provides a satisfying culinary journey through both Thai and Vietnamese flavors in a welcoming setting. Its popular dishes, attentive service, and vegetarian choices make it a place many are willing to visit again to explore more of the menu. Currently, no specific promotional information is available.

Thai & Vietnamese food restaurant in Avalon. Great vice Atmosphere with cozy booth & tables. We went on Thursday night dinner and all table was full. Recommend making reservations for dinner. I was nervous about mango and fried wings but appetizer mango wings were our favorite! Chicken wings were so tender and juicy yet skins were so crispy. The sauce was flavorful and mango was extra kick and made it even better. Definitely recommend soft shell pineapple curry. On the website, crabs were in the curry but it came out on the side. I recommend putting them in your curry it will observe the curry sauce and make the shell softer ! We also really enjoyed green tea cheesecake with ice cream. I enjoyed district III since you enjoy both Vietnamese food and thai food at the same time. Great vegetarian options & staffs were attentive and friendly. Willing to visit again to try more!
My family and I stayed at The Hotel at Avalon a few weeks ago and needed a spot to eat dinner. We wandered around and finally found The District III; we weren’t sure what to expect, but it did not disappoint!! The food was AMAZING! I got the drunken Thai noodles with the level 2 heat- it was pretty spicy, but extremely flavorful. The rest of the family had pho, pad Thai, curry, and we enjoyed a few appetizers (spring rolls and egg rolls). Annie was our server and she was very sweet in answering our questions and taking care of us. She recommended the mango sticky rice dessert and it was delicious. Reese made us amazing, tasty drinks, too. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be back!
I decided to go visit District III at the Avalon today and I have to say that I will not be returning. I have always enjoyed the restaurant and had not been back in a while and was excited to eat there tonight but unfortunately I did not have a great experience with the customer service. I sat at the bar and I entered the restaurant right before another Caucasian young couple. We all sat at the bar and although I had sat down first, the Caucasian bartender went around the bar to greet the couple and bypassed me. He proceeded to take the other couples order and then came and took my order five minutes or so after theirs from behind the bar. I ordered a tom yum soup and a beef salad at around 7:50pm. My soup came out around 8:10pm and mind you the couple had ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and rice along with other things but they received their order before I could receive a small soup. I had my soup and around 8:30pm I realized that my beef salad was taking a while so I asked the bartender where the salad was? He proceeded to put in the order and I asked him about the salad and he confirmed that he had forgotten and that it will take 10 minutes to get the salad out…. That’s when I proceeded to let him know that I no longer want the salad, at this point it was now 8:40 and I’ve been waiting 50 minutes for a salad that was never put in. I asked for my tab and paid the bill excluding the salad. I had a word with the manager and she offered to comp the bill but I refused because that’s not why I came to the restaurant and I had ordered something else to go prior to my salad not making it to the table. I can afford to pay for my bill otherwise I would not have come to the restaurant. I am truly disappointed in my experience and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
The Panang curry was very creamy and flavorful. Vegetarian Pho tasted good as well. Wish they had some noodle vegetarian options. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant.
We went for a family and friends dinner. Atmosphere is nice. Also service is fantastic. Food tasted good and fresh. I have been to other Vietnamese restaurants. The food was same. I will say it is good. Slightly pricy thoug..that may be because of the location. You can get the similar taste at other Vietnamese restaurant. Service was excellent.
