Dirty Dick's Crab House - Panama City Beach, Florida

I recently had the best fish sandwich I've ever tasted, and I just have to share my experience! From the moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the freshness of the fish. It was perfectly cooked, flaky, and had a deliciously crispy batter that added the right amount of crunch. The sandwich was generously topped with fresh lettuce and a tangy tartar sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. The bun was soft and toasted to perfection, holding everything together without falling apart. Each bite was a delightful combination of flavors and textures that left me wanting more. If you're a fan of fish sandwiches, you absolutely have to try this one. It's a game-changer! I can't wait to go back and enjoy it again. Highly recommend! The restaurant was quiet and only one other table. I know it’s off season. The server was fantastic. Very friendly quick and attentive. I had calamari for app. It was ok. The texture and crunch was great. Flavor was just ok. Needed salt and some brightness. The sauce was heavy dark thick and lacking flavor also. Now the crab legs…..0 complaining. They were flavorful, hot, fresh, exactly what I was looking for, and didn’t even need the butter. Absolutely delicious! Lastly….the hushpuppies….these are more of a dessert. So good you just want to savor them. These could become dangerous. So delicious! Great job!

The best quality about our visit was the waitress! Her name is Bella and she was awesome! She hustled, was polite & friendly, answered our questions and did her job to perfection! There were 4 people in our party. 3 said they would not order their meals again. I ordered the Mariner Platter and a bowl of gumbo. I enjoyed my meal. Couldn't eat it all but tried everything. The frog legs tasted like chicken. The shrimp, crab cakes, cat fish and other tasty bites were good.

We got raw oysters which were great and the crab dip for two. The dip was ok, the fried pita chips were delicious. The hush puppies were amazing. Warm with butter. We went on the 16th, so we were able to get the "pounder" so I got a pound of crab legs and they come with baby red potatoes. They were already out of the steak and pork chops. Mine were good, although small. My friend didn't care for hers. The red potatoes, not so much. I ate one and threw the rest away. My husband had the broiled seafood platter and the catch of the day was grouper. The latter of which was a mushy, watery mess with no flavor. The scallops were ok, the crab cakes were eh. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the price. I would go somewhere else honestly. The best things were the hush puppies and service.

4 stars because I was freezing the entire time I wad there. My wife had to buy a sweatshirt in their gift shop because she was so cold.
