About Ding’s Kitchen

Welcome to Ding’s Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant located at 876 Old San Francisco Rd in Sunnyvale, California. As a part of the Chinese restaurant category in the area, Ding’s Kitchen aims to provide a range of authentic Chinese culinary experiences for local residents and visitors. Based on recent customer feedback, Ding’s Kitchen offers a menu that includes several unique and flavorful dishes, catering to those seeking a taste beyond standard American-Chinese fare.

While specific details about the ambiance and decor of Ding’s Kitchen are not extensively described in the provided reviews, one customer mentioned dining there with their family after a local event, suggesting a casual and family-friendly environment. The positive tone of their review implies a comfortable setting suitable for a post-event meal. However, without more comprehensive descriptions, a detailed portrayal of the restaurant's environment remains limited.

The services offered by Ding’s Kitchen appear to primarily include dine-in and potentially takeout options. The positive review indicates a family enjoying a meal at the restaurant. The provision of a phone number, (408) 736-8973 and +1 408-736-8973, suggests that customers can contact the restaurant for inquiries or to place orders for pickup. Delivery services are not explicitly mentioned in the provided information, so local users interested in delivery should inquire directly with Ding’s Kitchen.

Ding’s Kitchen distinguishes itself through its selection of what appear to be more authentic and less commonly found Chinese dishes. One highly positive review specifically highlighted the "beef pies," "chili oil beef," "chive noodles," "pork and egg porridge," and "dumplings," describing them all as "delish" and "YUUUUMMM." This suggests that Ding’s Kitchen specializes in flavorful and well-received dishes that may offer a more genuine taste of Chinese cuisine compared to typical Americanized options. The reviewer's enthusiasm and the variety of dishes ordered indicate a menu with diverse and appealing choices.

However, it is important to note a contrasting negative review regarding the "braised pork," which was described as "terrible" and consisting mainly of fat. This suggests that, like any restaurant, the quality of individual dishes at Ding’s Kitchen may vary, or certain items may cater to specific palates. The reviewer did acknowledge that other items on the menu might be better, indicating a willingness to potentially try other offerings.

Regarding promotional information, the provided customer reviews do not mention any specific ongoing promotions or special offers at Ding’s Kitchen. It is common for restaurants to have lunch specials or other limited-time promotions. Local users are advised to contact Ding’s Kitchen directly or check any online presence they may have for information on current specials or deals that could enhance their dining experience.

The positive review offers a strong endorsement for several specific dishes at Ding’s Kitchen, suggesting that those looking for flavorful and perhaps less common Chinese culinary items might find this restaurant appealing. The mention of beef pies, chili oil beef, chive noodles, pork and egg porridge, and dumplings points to a menu that goes beyond standard fare and offers a taste of more authentic Chinese cooking. The enthusiasm of the reviewer who enjoyed these dishes indicates a potential for a very satisfying meal.

On the other hand, the negative review about the braised pork serves as a reminder that individual preferences and expectations can vary. It also highlights the importance of considering all feedback when evaluating a restaurant. While one customer found a particular dish unsatisfactory, they did not generalize this experience to the entire menu, leaving open the possibility that other dishes could be more appealing.

For local users in Sunnyvale, CA, who are interested in exploring a Chinese restaurant with a menu featuring items like beef pies, chili oil beef, chive noodles, pork and egg porridge, and dumplings, Ding’s Kitchen presents an intriguing option. The highly positive feedback on these specific dishes suggests a potential for a delicious and authentic culinary experience. However, the negative feedback on the braised pork indicates that there may be variability in the menu offerings. Potential customers might find it beneficial to inquire about the preparation and ingredients of dishes they are unfamiliar with before ordering.

In conclusion, Ding’s Kitchen in Sunnyvale, CA, appears to be a Chinese restaurant that offers a selection of potentially authentic and flavorful dishes, including beef pies, chili oil beef, chive noodles, pork and egg porridge, and dumplings, which have been positively received by at least one customer. While another customer had a negative experience with the braised pork, the overall impression from the available reviews suggests that Ding’s Kitchen could be a worthwhile destination for those seeking a more genuine taste of Chinese cuisine in the Sunnyvale area. Local users are encouraged to explore their menu and perhaps try some of the dishes that have garnered positive feedback.

First 1-star review :D The braised pork was terrible. Unless you're into fat and that type of stuff. Idk maybe some other things will be better but the braised pork sucks.

No wonder nobody comes to this place! The beef pancake is raw! It hasn’t been fully cooked—you can still see the raw dough inside!!

Money for 1st box of Mongolian chicken was a rip-off. $16.99 for 1 box. It’s like the people at Ding’s Kitchen was thinking that the “Buy 1 get 1 free” deal was so good that everyone would take the deal so they increased the price. Both of the Mongolian chicken could fit in 1 box. Although, the chicken taste was ok. The only problem with the chicken was that there was less chicken and too much onions.

The pork in the twice-cooked pork was spoiled. I won’t go there again.
