About Ding Ho

Located at 88 Harrison Ave in Boston, on the periphery of Chinatown, Ding Ho is a Chinese restaurant that operates on a cash-only basis. This spot has garnered attention for its quality and affordable prices, particularly for its combo meals.

One satisfied customer highlighted the combo noodle and fried rice with curry chicken and braised chicken, along with steamed flat rice noodles. They described the meal as yummy and not oily, with the rice noodles being fluffy, fresh, and the best they've had in Boston. The owner was also noted to be very nice, and the customer expressed interest in trying the hot and sour soup on a future visit.

Another reviewer mentioned that their plate cost $8 and included options such as onion chicken, curry chicken, boiled broccoli, and tofu, which seem consistent with previous reviews. While they found the food to be okay, they also noted that it was something easily replicable at home. For those who may not have cash on hand, there is a Chase bank conveniently located across the street.

A key feature to note about Ding Ho is that it is a cash-only establishment. Despite this, its reputation for good quality at a reasonable price, especially for its combo meals featuring a variety of dishes like curry chicken, braised chicken, and different types of noodles and rice, makes it a noteworthy option for those in the area looking for a straightforward and affordable Chinese meal.

Awesome cash only spot on the edge of Chinatown! Quality and price cannot disappoint, got the combo noodle and fried rice with curry chicken and braised chicken, and steamed flat rice noodle. Yummy and not oily. So good, the humble and delicious rice noodle is fluffy and fresh, the best I’ve had in Boston. Owner very nice. Next time I want to try the hot and sour soup!

CASH ONLY!! My plate costed me $8, options seems like it’s the exact same as prior reviews. Onion chicken, curry chicken, boiled broccoli, tofu. Food was okay, you can easily make it at home. Chase bank right across the street to take out cash.

I was ecstatic to come eat some dumplings here but they only take cash so be mindful of that. It’s a small place they are set up buffet style so you choose what you want and pay at the end and keep it going. There’s two chairs outside for those that decide to eat here. It looked delicious but I never had the chance to eat here because I had no cash.

Definitely cost effective, but I’ve now tried both the curry chicken and onion chicken multiple times, and I honestly would not recommend this for the food, only for the cost effectiveness. This is the 2nd time I have gotten sick from the food. There are far better Chinese restaurants around Ding Ho. Don’t waste your time.

I had the fried rice with chicken, and it was amazing! The portion size was generous and definitely worth the price. Just a heads-up—the fast food isn’t available for dine-in, so you'll need to take it to go and it’s cash only, so be prepared. But overall, it's a great value for money.
