Customer Reviews
Came here for dim sum and it was scrumptious! Service was excellent - staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. It was very authentic, just like in Hong Kong. Decor is nice and the atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable and happy. Wish we lived in Baltimore so we can come here regularly!
First time visit. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food cart came out quickly and portion sizes were great. Taste was solid aswell, everything was hot. Definitely easy to over order due to the huge portions. All day Dim sum is a great selling point non morning people.
2nd time to enjoy dimsum. Arrived at opening time to avoid long wait was quicky ushered to a table for 2 were another wait person facilitated the initial set of dishes. Delectable dimsum came in 3-4 carts with 2 bearing steamed items, 1 fried and 1 sweet stuff. Ordered stuffed sticky rice in lotus leaf, tofu sheet with pork minced, chives and pork dumpling, shrimp dumpling, mince meat in black truffle wrap and mochi balls. The portions are larger compared to previous visit but still prepared carefully and delicious. The dining space remains fresh, neat and organ ized. Welcome news that dimsum service is now all day.
After several attempts, we finally arrived at Dimsum Palace before it opened (and the subsequent accompaning crowds) and managed to be seated immediately. The room is open, with clean lines, simple adorations, well-lit and welcoming. The tables were all perfectly set and as we came it, the room looked perfect. Our server greeted us promptly, offered us beverages, including a choice of different pots of tea. We choose jasmine. The first cart arrived and a dish of the best chicken feet I've ever had was put on the table. They were large, meaty and delicious. I should note here that I have been eating dim sum for waaaay longer than I would want to admit (and that includes chicken feet), and have had superb plates in many cities in the US and Canada. Just sayin'... Next up was an excellent sticky rice in lotus leaf, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, crab dumplings, fried chive dumplings (top marks for this), and the 'kitchen special' salt and pepper calamari. The Missus (bless 'er) had a powerful lust for the mango pudding, which was a nice way to cleanse the palate after all those rich flavors. Despite being just 'dim sum,' the actual portions were surprisingly large and we filled up fast. Nonetheless, the food was well crafted, flavorful, and hot. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Actually, every interaction we had with all the staff, from the manager seating us to the folks seving the food, were all very pleasant and polite. This was an experience that was worth the wait and getting up early for. We are looking forward to returning.
Food was really good. They have dim sum in carts to push around so I recommend going when they’re busier. Since I went when it’s not so busy the staff was on standby waiting for your beck and call. Very attentive. Can be uncomfortable if you don’t like having multiple eyes on you. It doesn’t bother me tho. Would definitely go back.
