I was excited to try the new Dim sum House!! It seemed I had arrived just after a “rush hour” because none of the tables were cleaned off. I ordered my usual har gow and siu mai but they wanted me to point to the pictures. Good thing I did because they almost gave me bacon wrapped shrimp. After a few minutes, they delivered a “fried dough stick” which I didn’t order…. But they said to enjoy it anyways. Then came the har gow, siu mai and shrimp spring rolls. They were all hot and good. The dumplings all fell apart but they tasted ok. I wasn’t a fan of the dough sticks. It was decent for Champaign.

They should absolutely revise their deceptive menu. This thing where so many of the options do not match the quantity they bring you is not cool. They are good but expensive, but considering they are the only dim sum in town, I think they will get away with it. The servers are super nice. The place was busy on a Saturday morning. We did not like the pumpkin balls. They are pumpkin-shaped fried confections with custard inside. The custard was liquid, and the dough was not fully cooked. We liked the soup dumplings and the steamer items.

I like this restaurant very much. If you want to have authentic Cantonese morning tea, it is undoubtedly the first choice for Champagne. I strongly recommend durian pastry, xiaolongbao and rice noodle rolls. Very good decoration and service, I will definitely go back again!
