The environment at Dim Sum World is described by a patron as having "very cozy vibes." This suggests a warm and intimate setting, likely reflecting the nature of a small family business. Another reviewer mentioned that due to its size as a small family operation, there aren't many tables available. This highlights the importance of potential patience or perhaps calling ahead, especially during peak dining hours. The cozy atmosphere likely contributes to a more personal and authentic dining experience, setting it apart from larger, more commercial establishments.
As its name suggests, Dim Sum World is particularly renowned for its dim sum. One enthusiastic customer proclaimed that they have "the best dimsum I've ever had." Dim sum is a Cantonese cuisine involving a wide range of small, savory and sweet dishes, typically served steamed, fried, or baked. This strong endorsement suggests that their dim sum offerings are a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. The same reviewer also provided valuable advice on how to enhance the dim sum experience, recommending the addition of "some chili oil, vinegar & splash of soy sauce for dipping sauce," describing this combination as "the best." This local tip can be invaluable for newcomers looking to savor the dishes like a seasoned patron.
Beyond dim sum, the menu at Dim Sum World features a diverse array of dishes influenced by both Northern and Southern Chinese culinary styles. One reviewer, despite being mindful of carbohydrate intake as a runner, found the selection satisfying and particularly highlighted the Vietnamese noodles. These noodles are described as "particularly noteworthy for their homemade bone broth" and are emphatically recommended as a "must-try ❤️." This fusion element, offering Vietnamese noodles alongside traditional Chinese cuisine, is a unique feature that broadens the restaurant's appeal and provides an interesting alternative for diners.
Several specific dishes come highly recommended by satisfied customers. These include:
- Pork Xia Long Bao (Xiao Long Bao): These are delicate steamed dumplings filled with flavorful broth and pork.
- Hair Gow (Har Gow): A classic Cantonese dim sum dish featuring translucent shrimp dumplings.
- Siumai (Siu Mai): Another popular dim sum item, typically consisting of ground pork and shrimp in an open-topped dumpling.
- Salted Egg Bun: A sweet and savory bun with a molten salted egg yolk custard filling, often enjoyed as part of dim sum or as a dessert.
- Chili Wonton: Wontons served with a spicy chili sauce, offering a flavorful and potentially fiery kick.
The preparation of the food at Dim Sum World is noteworthy. One reviewer pointed out that they have a "very little kitchen" and that they "cook every single dish after you ordered and gonna serve at the same time." This commitment to preparing each dish fresh to order ensures a high level of quality and flavor. However, this also means that there is usually an approximate "15min wait" for the food to be served, so customers are advised to "be patient." The reviewer assures that "it's worth it I promise," emphasizing the freshness and care that goes into each dish.
In terms of services, Dim Sum World primarily offers dine-in experiences within their cozy establishment. One group of friends had the opportunity to chat with the owners, describing them as "incredibly friendly and helpful." This personal touch, often found in family-run businesses, can significantly enhance the overall dining experience, making customers feel more welcome and valued.

I recently visited Dim Sum World, and it's fair to say that despite facing too much carbohydrates as a runner lol, I didn't faint 🤩. The dishes, all prepared by the family, offer a comprehensive selection from both Northern and Southern China. The Vietnamese noodles, particularly noteworthy for their homemade bone broth, are a must-try ❤️. We had a chance to chat with the owners, who were incredibly friendly and helpful. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal 😊. Our stomachs were fully satisfied, and we're definitely planning to return.
Good food - fair price💖 Small family business so there aren't many tables available and very cozy vibes. They have the best dimsum I've ever had. Make sure to add some chili oil, vinegar & splash of soy sauce for dipping sauce (the best) I'm highly recommend Pork Xia Long Bao, Hair Gow or Siumai. Salted Egg Bun & Chili wonton are MUST!!! They have very little kitchen, also they'll cook every single dish after you ordered and gonna serve at the same time => usually 15min wait so be patient. It's worth it I promise **they accept Debit card/Cash**
A take away only place, that actually opens pretty early, at 9am. After ordering at the door, it took about 15 minutes for our order, not too bad. We had 3- Steamed Vegetable Buns, Vegetarian Spring Rolls & a Pan Fried Chive Pocket. All three were pretty good, not the worst and definitely not the best Dim Sum. The prices are good though, and if your craving it for breakfast it will do. The lady who took our order was very nice and helpful.
This was an assuming location with a mom and pop running the show. The dim sum was delicious! Also, had pho and spring rolls. The prices were really reasonable for dim sum and it tasted very fresh. The pork soup dumplings were 🔥🔥🔥I will definitely be coming back. My only concern was that the bathroom was out of order and I prefer to dine in where there is a restroom.
A really great spot. I personally reccomend the beef wraps and the red bean buns.
