Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Dian Xin 2 appear to be varied. One customer reported a highly negative experience, describing the food as "disgusting" and excessively oily with a bitter taste, leading to digestive issues. This customer strongly recommended visiting the Decatur Street location instead.

In contrast, another customer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, stating that Dian Xin 2 serves the "best xiao long bao I’ve ever had." This reviewer found the meal so exceptional that it made their trip to New Orleans worthwhile and also commended the service received from someone named Zach.

The restaurant offers Chinese cuisine, and while one review highlights a potential issue with food preparation at this specific location, another praises a particular dish as outstanding.

This place is disgusting! I typically go to the Decatur Street location which is excellent, but as they were closed last Tuesday I went to this location. I requested “very light oil” in my food. It came literally floating in a sea of oil! It had a strong bitter taste! See the photos for the oil that leaked out of the food and into the paper bag. I had two bites and had to run to the bathroom with explosive diarrhea!!!! BEWARE!! GO TO THE DECATUR STREET LOCATION!!! THEY CAN COOK!

The best xiao long bao I’ve ever had in my life. This meal made the flight to New Orleans worth it. Zach was amazing! I’m only sad we will only be in town 4 days and even if we go every day it would not be enough.

Such a great little restaurant. Busy but not overly so. We got the soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, and fried rice with the 325ml bottle of sake. The soup dumplings were amazing. I would go back just to get them!

完全报吃! I normally don’t comment any restaurant, and this is my first time. I stayed in New Orleans for 3days and want eat some except New Orleans cuisine. This is the best Chinese restaurant near my hotel. It has good comments on google map and so many people recommended this on Rednote. Me and my gf ordered Pan Fried Tiny Bao and Seafood Dried Hot Pot. Tiny Bao is only 4 with 13 bucks, it is not worth totally, also they didn’t told us the amount. The seafood dried hot pot is the worst. We think it should be fresh bc NOLA is closed to the sea like fresh shrimp. But the seafood they give us is the worst, tasted rancid like the seafood was frozen for a century, we also ordered the ramen, even didnt have any spicy flavor. This is worst Chinese restaurant we ever tasted, will not visit and not recommend them. By the way, their table are greasy and sticky, also, the waiter didn’t care about us and even didn’t offer the water.

The food was good, a bit salty imo. We had the veggie bao $7 which gives you two baos. The chicken dish was great ($11). Highly recommend getting the chicken.
