Based on the limited customer reviews available, the dining experience at Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood appears to be somewhat varied, with positive feedback on certain aspects and areas for potential improvement noted by others. One reviewer who visited for dinner around 7:30 PM observed that the restaurant was "pretty quiet," with only three tables occupied. This suggests that the dinner atmosphere might be calm and less crowded, which could be appealing to some diners seeking a quieter meal.
This dinner reviewer also commented on the "large portions" of the food and described the flavors as "ok." However, they also noted a potential presence of MSG, indicated by a physical reaction. The service experience during this dinner visit was mixed, with one lady described as "very nice" and another as "kinda abrupt," suggesting inconsistency in the staff's demeanor.
In contrast, another reviewer who visited during lunchtime specifically for dim sum and noodles had a more positive experience. They described their meal as "yummy" and highlighted several dishes they ordered: pork Shumai, shrimp har gaw, beef meatballs, crispy noodles with chicken, and war wonton soup. According to this reviewer, the "dim sum was good," but the "noodles and the soup were the stars!" This suggests that these particular menu items might be specialties or highly recommended. The service during this lunch visit was described as "quick and courteous," indicating a potentially more efficient and pleasant experience during the daytime.
Considering these two reviews, the environment at Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood seems to fluctuate. The quiet dinner setting might be a typical evening ambiance, while the lunch experience, particularly for those seeking dim sum, could be more vibrant. The decor and overall atmosphere are not explicitly described, so local users might want to consider the potentially subdued evening setting.
The services offered appear to include both dine-in, as both reviewers ate at the restaurant. The lunchtime reviewer specifically praised the "quick and courteous" service, which is a significant positive aspect. However, the dinner reviewer's experience with one abrupt staff member suggests that service quality might not be consistently excellent across all staff or at all times of the day. It is not mentioned whether Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood offers takeout or delivery services. Local users interested in these options would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire.
The features of Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood include a menu that encompasses both general Chinese cuisine and a selection of seafood dishes, as indicated by its name. The lunchtime review also highlights the availability of dim sum, a popular style of Cantonese cuisine featuring a variety of small, savory dishes. The specific dishes praised include the crispy noodles with chicken and the war wonton soup, suggesting these might be notable items on their menu. The pork Shumai, shrimp har gaw, and beef meatballs also indicate a standard offering of popular dim sum items.
The dinner reviewer's comment about "large portions" suggests that the restaurant offers substantial servings, which can be a significant draw for customers seeking value for their money. The mention of MSG is a point of consideration for those sensitive to this flavor enhancer.
Promotional information is not mentioned in either of the provided reviews. To learn about any specials, discounts, or promotions that Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood might be offering, local users should check for an online presence (website, social media) or contact the restaurant directly by phone. They may also have local advertisements or flyers that could provide information on current deals, especially for lunch specials or seafood selections.
In summary, Diamond Palace Chinese Seafood in Diamond Bar, CA, offers a menu that includes both general Chinese dishes and seafood, with a notable selection of dim sum available during lunch. Customers have reported large portion sizes and generally acceptable flavors, although the potential presence of MSG was mentioned. The service quality appears to be inconsistent, with one reviewer praising quick and courteous service during lunch, while another experienced abruptness during dinner. The dinner ambiance was described as quiet. For local users considering Diamond Palace, the lunchtime experience, particularly for dim sum and noodle dishes, seems to be well-received. However, those dining in the evening might encounter a quieter atmosphere and potentially variable service. It is advisable to check for more recent reviews or contact the restaurant directly for information on their menu, services (takeout, delivery), and any current promotions.

Went there dinner round 7:30. There were three tables with customers. The place was pretty quiet. Large portions. The flavors were ok. There’s a bit of MSG- my lips were shriveled 😆 One lady was very nice but the other one was kinda abrupt. Maybe their lunch is better.
Driving thru Diamond Bar during lunch, decided to stop in for some dim sum and noodles. Yummy! We ordered the pork Shumai, shrimp har gaw, beef meatballs, crispy noodles w/chicken and the war wonton soup. Dim sum was good, the noodles and the soup were the stars! Service was quick and courteous.
If you're looking for authentic Chinese food this place is great. As with a lot of great tasting authentic Chinese restaurants, the service is a little lacking. I do have to say they are fast but you just have to be a little aggressive in getting someone to assist you.
The food is decent. But we had to share a water... she wouldn't bring two glasses of water for whatever reason. I really wanted a soda... she would not listen. They are just rude. So if you go here, just know, there can be a culture barrier.
We got there when dinner started but wished the waitress had a better attitude with us. The food was delicious though like the fried pork chops with spice and the chow fun for the price and portion.
