It is important to note that despite being listed under the category of Chinese Restaurant, the name and reviews clearly indicate it is an Italian restaurant.

Customers have generally praised the food at Di Paolo's. One reviewer exclaimed, "Food amazing! Plenty of portion size!" They specifically highlighted the "Shrimp Cocktail plentiful! Calamari great! Spaghetti good as well as Seafood pasta!" While they found the "Wings were good," they suggested a desire for "a better seasoning on them." This reviewer also commended their waiter, "Craig was an attentive waiter. Very pleasant!"

Another customer, on their first visit on February 14, 2025, found "the food was fresh, hot and tasty." They particularly enjoyed the "lobster Mac it was💯" and found the "salads were tasty." However, they had a mixed experience with the "lobster ravioli," noting it "lack season and the lobster it was more ricotta filled which was disappointing." They did appreciate their server, who was "so nice and connecting with us." This customer also tried the "happy hour buffet" which they found "clean, fresh" but noted that "the food could have been hotter in the buffet."

Based on these reviews, Di Paolo's Italian Ristorante in Penns Grove, NJ, offers a generally positive dining experience with amazing food and generous portions. Standout dishes include the shrimp cocktail, calamari, spaghetti, seafood pasta, and lobster Mac. While the wings are good, some might prefer better seasoning, and the lobster ravioli was criticized for lacking seasoning and sufficient lobster. The service is consistently praised, with attentive and pleasant waiters. The happy hour buffet is clean and fresh but could benefit from hotter food. Local users looking for a satisfying Italian meal with great service should consider Di Paolo's.

The environment includes a dining area where customers receive attentive service. They also offer a happy hour buffet that is clean and fresh. Services include dine-in with attentive waitstaff and a happy hour buffet. Key features are amazing food with plentiful portions, a standout lobster Mac, and generally good quality across various Italian dishes, though the lobster ravioli and buffet temperature were noted as areas for improvement. No specific promotional information beyond the existence of a happy hour buffet is available in the provided text.

It was our first time here on 2/14/25 the food was fresh, hot and tasty. We ordered the lobster Mac it was💯the salads were tasty. Our main meal was the lobster ravioli they lack season and the lobster it was more ricotta filled which was disappointing. The server was so nice and connecting with us. We also tried the happy hour buffet it was clean, fresh my only thing is the food could have been hotter in the buffet.

This is an amazing Italian Restaurant. They know how to make their food, they have a particular dress code because this restaurant is semi fancy but casual is okay, just not sloppy looking. We had 2 different pastas, and shrimp and boardwalk fries. I’m surprised how good their fries were, and especially their pasta. They have a 3-course meal for $25 before 2:30pm, and it’s something to get there before that time. I also heard their dinner menu was a much bigger portion, so I wouldn’t be surprised as the food is incredible. And the ambiance was very nice as well. Very much worth eating here!

Amazing restaurant with a great price when you get the specials. Absolutely massive portions as well. Went for Friday night during the buffet for $35 for all you can eat prime and king crabs legs, the best around for sure. An absolute deal and the service was amazing as well. Portions are always a take home and they pretty much give you a party tray to take home with you, so you’re looking for somewhere to go to eat a lot, this is certainly the place. Also had the chocolate cake dessert, which I also highly recommend do to its richness.

The food was excellent. I loved the stuffed mushrooms!! The only thing I'd change next time would be to have the tomahawk done longer. We ordered it medium rare. Our waiter forgot a few things multiple times, but not a big deal. I let it slide as everything else was great
