We were greeted the moment we walked in, and they found us a table. We were able to see the noodles being hand pulled. There are different options for noodles, we went with thick (most popular). They recommended the lamb rib, which was good but not worth the price in my opinion. I did enjoy the Lanzhou noodle soup. The broth was perfect - not too salty, not too spicy, and flavorful at the same time. The curry noodle soup was not as good; the curry flavor was subtle.
My rating to DH Noodles & Grill 敦煌兰州牛肉面 based on my experience. 10/10 we asked them if it halal and the waiter confirmed it All their noodle dishes are served with fresh hand pulled noodles. You can actually watch them as they put on a show in the kitchen. They can make noodles from angel hair thin strands to some wide one. we choose the regular Everything include Scallion Pancakes, Noodle with sauce ( CUMIN and Chicken) , Fried Noodle with chicken. All was really good. we have been told that beef can be chewy so i did wanna risk it but other people might have different opinion. I would honestly come again to try some of the soup noddle with lamb and Chinese burger . very very small place, big portions, excellent services and amazing prices nothing in the menu is more that 14 dollars !!!!! this place has a potential to stand out to among stiff competition.>
Overall, the food and service were great. We ordered a lot tonight since the special event ended today, and we ended up with plenty of leftovers. The portions for each dish are quite generous—spending about $10–20 per person per meal should be good enough.
Definitely worth a try. Food was good. We ordered crispy lamb ribs, fried noodle (chicken), and lanzhou beef noodles which came as soup noodles. Really liked the lamb ribs and fried noodles both were tasty. Noodles are homemade. Service was great both waiters were very friendly and actually recommended couple of items since it was our first time here. Definitely worth a try.
Dun Huang (DH for short) is a chain that’s present in Los Angeles, The Bay Area and New York and has recently expanded to North Texas. DH serve authentic Northwestern Chinese Food. All their noodle dishes are served with fresh hand pulled noodles. You can actually watch them as they put on a show in the kitchen. They can make noodles from angel hair thin strands to some as wide as belts. Everything we got was really good and we especially liked the Spicy Braised Lamb (香辣黄焖羊) as the Lamb was really tender and tasty. It was honestly some of the best lamb we’ve had in a long while. The menu seems a little truncated compared to other locations so I hope they keep adding to it, but this place has a potential to stand out to among stiff competition. This place is also Halal friendly for those who observe!
