About Deluxe Green Bo

Located at 66 Bayard Street in the bustling heart of New York City's Chinatown, Deluxe Green Bo falls under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," offering a diverse range of authentic Chinese cuisine. Situated on a street known for its rich culinary offerings, Deluxe Green Bo aims to provide a genuine taste of China, with reviewers highlighting its regional specialties and popular dishes.

Based on customer feedback, the environment of Deluxe Green Bo is described as a "typical Chinese resto" and as not looking like "much from the outside (or inside, for that matter)." This suggests a no-frills, functional setting that prioritizes the authenticity of the food over elaborate decor. While it may not boast a fancy ambiance, this straightforward approach often resonates with those seeking a genuine and unpretentious dining experience. The fact that it is "usually full house" indicates its popularity, suggesting that the focus is indeed on the quality and taste of the food, which draws a consistent crowd.

The service at Deluxe Green Bo is described by one reviewer as "quick & efficient staff." This is a significant positive aspect, particularly for a busy restaurant where timely service is crucial. While another review doesn't explicitly comment on the general service, the mention of a specific payment policy ("Must pay thru venmo if u don’t have cash") implies a practical approach to transactions. This policy is a key piece of information for potential customers to be aware of before dining. The efficiency of the staff likely contributes to their ability to handle the often crowded conditions, ensuring a relatively smooth dining experience despite the volume of customers.

The standout feature of Deluxe Green Bo, according to customer reviews, is its "authentic Chinese cuisine" that includes "dishes from different regions of the country." This suggests a menu that goes beyond standard American-Chinese fare, offering a more diverse and potentially more traditional selection of dishes. This focus on regional specialties can be a major draw for those seeking a more genuine taste of Chinese culinary traditions. Two specific dishes are highly recommended: the "dim sum" and the "hot and spicy wonton." The dim sum, a Cantonese tradition of small, savory dishes, being recommended suggests its quality and authenticity at Deluxe Green Bo. The "hot and spicy wonton" is also praised, with a reviewer noting that while it's "not too spicy," it has "a twist" that makes it worth trying. This intriguing description implies a unique flavor profile that sets it apart and makes it a must-try item for those who enjoy wontons with a bit of heat and complexity.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Deluxe Green Bo in the provided reviews. Details about special offers, discounts, or seasonal menus are not mentioned. However, the consistent positive feedback regarding the food quality, portion sizes, and taste, combined with the mention that it is "pocket friendly," can be considered inherent value propositions. The recommendation to "make sure to come early esp dinner time" due to it being "usually full house" indirectly suggests the restaurant's popularity and the potential need to plan accordingly to secure a table. This high demand could be seen as a testament to the quality and value offered.

In conclusion, Deluxe Green Bo on Bayard Street in New York City's Chinatown offers an authentic Chinese dining experience with dishes from various regions of China. While the environment is described as typical and unpretentious, the focus is clearly on the quality and taste of the food, which is consistently praised. Highly recommended dishes include their dim sum and the hot and spicy wonton, which is noted for its unique twist. The staff is reported to be quick and efficient, which is essential given the restaurant's tendency to be crowded, especially during dinner hours. A key piece of information for potential diners is the payment policy, which requires cash or Venmo. Despite the lack of specific promotional offers mentioned in the reviews, the combination of authentic regional cuisine, generous portions, good taste, and affordability makes Deluxe Green Bo a popular choice for those seeking a genuine Chinese culinary experience in Chinatown. The recommendation to arrive early, particularly for dinner, underscores its popularity and the value it offers to its patrons.

Typical Chinese resto. Must pay thru venmo if u don’t have cash. Food is great. They’re usually full house so make sure to come early esp dinner time. Highly recommend the dim sum and the hot and spicy wonton although it’s not too spicy there’s a twist that’s why you should try them!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside (or inside, for that matter), but if you want an authentic Chinese cuisine experience that has dishes from different regions of the country, this is your place to be. Great food (portion, quality, taste), quick & efficient staff, and pocket friendly! Highly recommend!

Amazing dumplings and bao at a good price. Taste is very authentic. Service was super fast: we got food within 3 minutes of ordering even when the restaurant is completely full. $7 minimum per person per table.

Staff was attentive, and food was served quickly. The beef with bitter melon was good. Wonton casserole soup is a good choice also. It gets packed inside, but it's a great place for a quick bite. The next visit will be for soup dumplings.

Life is short F……it up! Family, Flavors, Friends Was in New York again for another food crawl stopped into this place because the the line for the pork buns was too long. Sat in the back and got some soup dumplings and a child food noodle. Just keep in mind that it’s casually and a minimum of 7 to 8 dollars per head sitting in there . The soup dumplings were good came out fast like to see what draws the people and quick service and good flavor. The child on the other hand was lacking beef chow fun, but they didn’t provide too much beef. I would skip next time. Just to mention in case they read, we sat with a family from South Jersey. So if you’re reading this hello. Back to the soup dumplings although they were good the dumplings were a little bit delicate as some of them were were easily ripped stuck to the bottom would’ve expected more, but it was worth a visit.
