Disappointed with DeLorenzo’s Pizza – A $22 Lesson Learned I recently visited DeLorenzo’s Pizza on Sloan Ave after a recommendation from a friend, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. After waiting 30 minutes for my order, I arrived home to find a completely burnt pizza that was not even cut properly. Despite giving it a chance, my family found the pizza nearly inedible due to the overwhelming burnt taste in every bite. In the end, we had no choice but to throw it away and cook something else instead. For $22, I expected much better quality, especially from an establishment with such a strong reputation. This experience has left me frustrated, and I will not be returning. A simple attention to detail—ensuring the pizza is properly cooked and cut—could have made all the difference. Unfortunately, DeLorenzo’s fell short, and I cannot recommend it based on this visit.

DeLorenzo’s is nothing short of spectacular. There is pizza and then there is pizza. The food here is other worldly experience, also known as, a taste bud orgasm. I wish I knew their secret. Each pie is more delicious than the last. They use the finest ingredients and lovingly prepare what I believe is the best pizza to be had anywhere. Enjoyable thin and crispy crust, tomato sauce has the most amazing flavor. We enjoyed it with sausage- also had great flavor. There is a large edge to the crust. Just wish the sauce and cheese went closer to the edge. But that’s our preference. Had terrific and efficient service from Ryan. FYI you can order it lite- so it is not as crispy or well, for more crispy and char. We didn’t make a request and it came out perfect. We ate in - booths are very comfortable and pizza always tastes better fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend.

Wow! The plain is all you need. This pizza is fantastic. I could have drank the sauce off the pie. The crust is unique. The service was great. The vibe is casual.

DeLorenzo’s is all about the tomato pie, of course, but do not sleep on its silky smooth gelato! I went with the pistachio, and it was deeply satisfying. Punchy!
