Dao Kitchen's recent remodel has made a great restaurant even better! It's nice to see a variety of clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian dishes. My personal favorite is the spicy kung pow cabbage – it's packed with flavor! The staff is also incredibly accommodating, preparing a delicious custom noodle and vegetable dish for my husband. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean, the service is always friendly and attentive, and the portions were very generous – if it wasn't so delicious we would have even had leftovers! There is plenty of parking and a convenient location in North Phoenix (an area that could use more good dining options), Dao Kitchen is a true gem. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in anthem. I simply adore this place! 💖💖💖 it’s right next to work and the food has a way of giving you a Homemade welcoming feel. Freshly prepared and oh so delicious! my go to is the pan fried pot stickers with the hot chili 🌶️ in oil. It’s like melted goodness in your mouth and next thkng you know your out of pot stickers. The food is extraordinary good that you forget about taking any photos!

We have been loyal customers since they opened over a decade ago. Food has always been solid and reliable. Never a bad meal....until today. Takeout order of the fried shrimp app, hot and sour soup and General Tso chicken. Soup was tasty but noticeably lacking. Only 5 of the 6 fried shrimp were edible (one was petrified) and the General Tso's was obviously prepackaged frozen, not prepared fresh. This may be the result of new management and will probably be our last meal here. If you have other options I would suggest dining elsewhere.

I read an article one time that listed Dao Kitchen as one of the best Chinese food places in the valley, and that is definitely true. The food is always hot and fresh, even when you get it to go. If you’re dining in, the staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

I hate giving bad reviews, however. I recently dined at Dao Kitchen with my son and was quite disappointed. We ordered the Twin Dao Chicken and Pad Thai Chicken, both of which were excessively greasy and unappetizing. The accompanying soup was bland, and while the egg roll was decent, it couldn't redeem the meal. The heavy-handed frying and oiliness of the dishes made them unenjoyable. I expected a more palatable dining experience for the price.
