About Danny's Wok

Located at 5750 Baltimore Ave in Philadelphia, PA, USA, Danny's Wok is a Chinese Restaurant offering takeaway services. It operates until late, with at least one instance of accepting phone orders close to its 11 PM closing time.

Environment: The provided reviews do not offer insights into the restaurant's dine-in environment. The focus is on the takeaway experience. One reviewer notes that the surrounding area can be "a little rough," advising customers to be mindful of their safety.

Services: Danny's Wok primarily offers takeaway service with phone ordering available. They appear to operate until late in the evening. However, one customer reported significant issues with order pickup during a busy period, including long wait times and unfulfilled orders despite prior confirmation. This suggests potential inconsistencies in service efficiency, particularly during peak demand.

Features: A notable feature highlighted by a long-time customer is their fried chicken, which is described as the "best fried chicken in the city" with a consistent recipe and taste over many years. They also offer whole wings. However, there was a report of potential disorganization regarding the availability of specific items (wingdings vs. whole wings) and a lack of apology for mishandled orders during a busy event.

Promotional Information: A potential draw for local users is Danny's Wok's late operating hours, as they accepted an order just 20 minutes before closing. For those who appreciate their fried chicken, the positive long-term review might be compelling. However, customers should be aware of the reported issues with order fulfillment and potential disorganization, especially during busy times or special events.

For local users in the Baltimore Avenue area of Philadelphia seeking late-night Chinese takeaway, Danny's Wok can be contacted at (215) 471-9020 or +1 215-471-9020 to place an order. While they are known for their fried chicken and operate until late, it is advisable to be mindful of potential service inconsistencies, especially during peak hours, as reported by some customers. Additionally, caution is advised regarding the surrounding area.

They close at 11 PM. I called at 10:40 PM and they answered and took my order. I’ve been eating this chicken since I was in middle school in the recipe and taste are still the same. In my personal opinion, the best fried chicken in the city. The area is a little rough, so be mindful and safe.

I order whole wings on Saturday 2/7 for pickup Super Bowl Sunday at 5:30. When I arrived at the store there were more than 50 people waiting in line for pickups. When I got to the window after waiting in line or 45 mins I was told my wings had not been prepared and I had to wait for them to be cooked. They accepted orders for wingdings only to tell people when they arrived that were sold out and had to order whole wings. They were unorganized, Unprepared and unapologetic to the customers for their mishandling of their business operations on an expected busy day!!

Yesterday was Super Bowl for "Philly" I placed a order for party wings on Saturday and gave a number and wanted 75.00 party wings for 75.00 I talked to a lady and she confirmed the pick time,,, when i finally get to Danny wok the line was out the door no type of organized within the staff everyone was everywhere, wall to wall down to the dollars tree store,,, I get in there and asked for my food and was told it wasn't there, I knew they sold it! But when asked what do they have the worker informed me of only whole wings and charged me 84.00 dollars for 50 wings!( Everyone in there was screaming about they order and fussing),Okay that's a up charge of coarse and on top of that the man snatched the money and was very ignorant and nasty,, When I turned around to leave what I seen was my own people support this and tolerating this type of behavior from others ethnicity that treat Blacks this way when it comes to our money,,, I have a restaurant if yall can support this type of behavior then we can support our own black ppl that give better and do better when it all comes down to this,,,, I will never support Danny Wok again,,, Thank you for that type of treatment,,,,

I ordered 50 wing dings and paid for them and they told me I didn’t have an order number, but I was never giving one, I spoke with 4 different managers and nothing was resolved, They had me wait outside for one hour and promised me they’ll bring the wings out, and never did this place is a slap in the face to all black ppl. How do we go from being the fried chicken culture all the way to giving our money to these ppl for chicken that doesn’t taste like nothing but Chinese store chicken idk if im more made at us or them for robbing me smh…..

I drove 45 minutes to this place I ordered beef and broccoli she tried to give me shrimp and broccoli The "BEEF"is mystery meat not the color of what beef should be not very chewy did not break down. So that went in the trash along with the wonton soup and the crunchy noodles. The beef and broccoli on Broad Street is the bomb but their chicken wings are trash. I'm good I'm a stick with my hood food
