About Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach

Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach is a Chinese restaurant situated at 161-30 Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach, a neighborhood within Brooklyn, New York, 11414, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, it serves the local community with a range of Chinese culinary offerings. It is noteworthy that this location previously operated under the name East Meets West, and recent customer feedback often references this transition, providing insights into the perceived changes in quality and service.

Regarding the environment of Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach, the provided reviews do not offer any specific details about the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or overall atmosphere. The focus of the customer feedback is primarily on the food quality and service aspects, particularly in the context of the change in ownership from East Meets West. Therefore, an objective description of the restaurant's environment cannot be accurately constructed based on the currently available information.

In terms of services, the customer reviews present contrasting perspectives. One reviewer mentions consistently "great" service, describing it as "always friendly and attentive." This positive feedback suggests that at least some customers have experienced a high level of customer care at Danny's Chinese Kitchen. This reviewer explicitly states that whatever changes were implemented under the new management have been effective in improving their experience compared to the previous establishment. This implies that Danny's Chinese Kitchen may be prioritizing customer service as a key aspect of its operation.

However, another review focuses heavily on a perceived decline in food quality, specifically concerning a signature dish. This customer recounts a past experience where the location (under its previous name, East Meets West) was known for having the "highest quality general tso chicken" compared to any other Chinese restaurant they had visited. Following the change in ownership to Danny's Chinese Kitchen, this customer expressed significant disappointment, stating that the quality of the general tso chicken had drastically decreased. They described the chicken as being tough and difficult to chew, akin to the quality found in a majority of other, less impressive Chinese restaurants. This negative feedback indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality of food, or at least a significant change in the preparation of a once-favored dish.

The features of Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach are somewhat ambiguous due to the conflicting reviews. Previously, under the East Meets West name, a standout feature was reportedly the high-quality general tso chicken. However, under the new ownership, this is no longer perceived as a unique selling point by at least one long-time customer. The positive review mentions "consistently amazing" food without specifying particular dishes, suggesting that other menu items might be of high quality. Without more specific details on popular or well-regarded dishes under the new management, it is difficult to definitively identify the culinary features of Danny's Chinese Kitchen.

There is no promotional information explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers are sharing their personal experiences, both positive and negative, without reference to any ongoing promotions, discounts, or special offers from Danny's Chinese Kitchen. Therefore, no objective introduction can include details about promotional activities based solely on this information.

For local users in the Howard Beach area of Brooklyn considering Danny's Chinese Kitchen, it is important to weigh the contrasting recent reviews. One customer's positive experience suggests that improvements have been made since the transition from East Meets West, particularly in terms of overall food quality and service. This might encourage those who had negative experiences with the previous establishment to give Danny's Chinese Kitchen a try.

Conversely, the negative review from a customer who specifically sought out the location for its once-renowned general tso chicken serves as a cautionary note. It indicates that the quality of at least one signature dish may have declined significantly under the new ownership, which could be a concern for other long-time patrons or those specifically looking for high-quality versions of classic dishes. This review suggests that the current food quality might be inconsistent or that certain dishes may not meet the standards previously associated with this location.

Given these divergent opinions, local users might consider trying Danny's Chinese Kitchen to form their own judgment. If the positive reviewer's experience is more representative of the current standards, then it could be a worthwhile option for consistently good food and friendly service. However, the negative feedback regarding a previously exceptional dish should also be taken into account, especially for those with specific culinary preferences.

To inquire further about the menu, current offerings, or to place an order, local users can contact Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach at (718) 323-0600 or +1 718-323-0600. Due to the mixed recent feedback, it might be prudent for new customers to start with a smaller order or inquire about the preparation of specific dishes of interest, such as the general tso chicken, before placing a larger order.

In conclusion, Danny's Chinese Kitchen - Howard Beach represents a Chinese restaurant in Howard Beach, Brooklyn, that has undergone a change in ownership from East Meets West. Recent customer reviews present a split perspective, with one praising consistently amazing food and great, friendly service, while another expresses significant disappointment in the decreased quality of a previously exceptional dish. Without more consistent feedback or specific details about the current menu and environment, local users are advised to consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize Danny's Chinese Kitchen.

I’ve noticed this place getting some negative reviews lately, and I honestly don’t get it. Every single time I’ve been here recently, my experience has been phenomenal. The food is consistently amazing, and the service has been great, always friendly and attentive. Whatever they did to turn this place around is definitely working, because I like it way better now than when it was East Meets West. Zero complaints from me, highly recommend giving it another shot!

I always knew this location to have the highest quality general tso chicken out of any Chinese restaurant i ever been to. Since changing ownership from what used to be East Meets West, this location has totally downgraded their quality. I sent my girlfriend on a mission to grab some food for us and told her specifically to go here because I KNEW the general tso was top quality. To my total heart break and disappointment, the chicken is just like a majority of other Chinese restaurants. Chewing the chicken, it wouldnt break down. It was hard to chew. I definitely will never go back. Unbelievable.......

I previously wrote a review, but I don't think it was fair, so I took it down. I will say this, The place looks nice. And other than my experience, I will definitely give this place another shot. I'm sure the owners have read my previous review So, hopefully, they will take it to consideration. And weed out the issues.

So far this has been the best Chinese food in Howard Beach. The food is delicious and the delivery is fast. My order is always correct. People are leaving negative reviews because they're childish. They can't understand how another "Danny's" can come to Howard Beach. People are so weird

I ordered from here a few weeks ago, no realizing it was under new people at first. The customer service was great. The food was fresh and cooked well. I will be back again.
