Been dying to try this place, since it's very well known for the area. It's on the first floor of a beautiful historic building and the ambiance of the seating/bar area is nice, dark and cozy. The server was very nice, but also very slow. The food itself was good - cooked well, good portions. Different pricing than the online menu, so they haven't updated their pricing online, be aware. Everything was $3-4 more than what was listed online. Overall, it was ok but more average than I expected, considering how the locals rave about it. The place was empty, there were only 3 tables including us, so it definitely should not have taken us one hour and 30 min to eat a burger and pizza. We were pretty frustrated with the service, and the food was not good enough to excuse this, so I'm glad I finally checked it out but will probably not be coming back.

Had the worst bartender there, guy with a handlebar mustache . He hit on my date the whole time. Piss poor service, lame food. Go to any local dinner and you’ll get better food

Great place with lots of history. Food was good and the service. Will visit again.

I have passed this place many times. Finally stopped for lunch and it was very good. I had the French Onion Soup and a cheeseburger. Place was not crowded at all — just me and some locals at the bar having lunch. I enjoyed it and would definitely go back. Always thought it was a cool old building.

I’ve been to this establishment a few times now. Food has always been great. However, last night my girlfriend and I went for dinner. This was the worst service I’ve ever experienced and we eat out, often. First, we waited about 5 minutes, just for a table. The waitress, who didn’t seem like she knew where she even was, got our drink order fairly quick and then disappeared and literally never came back. The other waitress working tended to two tables that came in after us, as our waitress attended to one large table only. I watched as she sat behind the bar looking around, as if she forgot about us. After waiting around a half hour, we just got up and left.
