About DAN HUE Café

DAN HUE Café is a restaurant located at 12311 Kingsride Ln in Houston, Texas. They can be contacted at (713) 984-9200 or +1 713-984-9200. It's noted by one reviewer that this location used to be the old Kim Son.

Customer reviews indicate a strong appreciation for the flavor and deliciousness of the food at DAN HUE Café. The shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce are particularly highlighted as being exceptionally good ("to die for"). Another highly recommended dish is the Bún Thìt Nuóng (grilled pork with vermicelli rice noodle bowl), praised for its fresh vegetables and delicious pork, creating a satisfying and enjoyable meal.

One enthusiastic reviewer expressed a desire to give the service and the flavor of the food 10 stars, recommending the café for those wanting to experience "real Houston Delicious Vietnamese food."

However, another reviewer pointed out an issue with the noodles in some dishes, including the phó, noting that they tend to come out very clumpy, affecting both the eating experience and the visual appeal. This is suggested as an area for improvement. On a more positive note, the hot and sour soup is considered good, although one reviewer suggested it could be a little more sour. The barbecue pork fried rice and spring rolls are also mentioned as excellent.

For local Houston users looking to explore Vietnamese cuisine, DAN HUE Café offers a range of flavorful dishes, with the shrimp spring rolls, Bún Thìt Nuóng, and barbecue pork fried rice receiving high praise. Potential customers may want to be aware of the reported issue with noodle consistency in some dishes.

This used to be the old Kim Son. The food flavor is good however, the noodles always seem to come out very clumpy. I’ve tried their phó And it was the same story. I’m not sure why this is happening, but they need to work on it because it’s not pleasant to eat or to look at. Hot and sour soup is good… Could use a little more sour. Barbecue porkfried rice is excellent. Spring rolls are excellent.

Decent Vietnamese food. Quick and easy dine in option as well as takeout. The egg rolls were really food. The stir fry veggies and beef pho were okay.

First time coming here! I ordered a vegetarian pad thai dish. To be honest, I wasn’t that impressed for the price I paid for. The texture of noodles was pretty good but flavor was okay. Perhaps if they put little more of mushroom seasonings, that would be better. I wanted to try pho yet they don’t have a vegetarian option since the broth is all made of beef broth. Vegetarian broth is appreciated. Cheers 🥂

Got my Vietnamese egg rolls appetizer and appetizer was wrapped in wonton wrapper and not the rice paper. Clearly says on the website wrapped in rice paper. They were inedible. Extremely disappointed. $12 I’ll never see again. Also did not get my peanut sauce for my spring rolls. Total paid for my disappointment is $22
