Customer Reviews
I have been a patron of Día Tung in Mission, TX for over 10yrs. BEST CHINESE FOOD IN RGV! They recently revamped their restaurant with new tables and dishes. The Atmosphere and Ambiance is Great. Service is Great. Food is EXCELLENT! I had Kung Pao Beef, Beef and Broccoli, Fried Dumplings, & Fried Wontons. I also had had Hot&Sour Soup but finished it before I took a pic 😋! Also dinner portions can feed easily feed 3 people per plate ordered. They come with your choice of fried or steamed rice. Order the egg rolls they are phenomenal.
My experience was terrible. The meat was undercooked, which completely ruined my meal—I couldn’t eat the rest. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he seemed indifferent, as if it wasn’t a big deal. They didn’t offer any kind of discount—not that I would have accepted, but the gesture would have been appreciated. Instead, all I got was, ‘We told the cook already.’ Needless to say, I won’t be returning.
Our first time here yesterday, Saturday just before 5pm. We got seated right away and was not too crowded. We ordered a big hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice, spring rolls and crispy shrimp in like a sweet garlic sauce which comes with plain white rice or veg fried rice, we got the white rice. The service was good and our waiter was nice. The only thing is, my fried rice has NO taste, there is no vegetables, scallions, onions in it, just some chicken and red whole chilly in it because I asked for it to be spicy, which by the was in no way spicy at all. The shrimp and soup were good, but not great. The menu is big and I'm sure other dishes on there are good, but I'm just giving my honest reviews from what we ordered and the taste. Not sure if I will give them a try again.
Dine in experience was good. Attentive waitress and Food is good.
Good fast service and LOTS of food. Unlike many other places they have their lunch menu in effect on Saturday, and their lunch portions are huge. I thoroughly enjoyed my Chicken with Cashews (it also has lots of mush). There was enough left for another meal. I will be returning.
