About Dada's Soul
Dada's Soul is located at 1301 21st St, Zion, IL 60099, USA. They can be contacted at (847) 246-3324 or +1 847-246-3324.
Based on recent customer reviews, Dada's Soul offers homemade-style dishes with notable flavors in some items. One customer found the meatloaf and dressing to be good and flavorful. However, they mentioned that the pork chops were a bit dry and fatty. They also commented on the portion sizes, suggesting that smaller portions at a lower price point per plate might be preferable. The size of the cake slice was considered very small for its price. This customer noted the absence of mac n cheese during their visit but enjoyed the other items they ordered and would recommend the place, advising customers to be prepared for a potential wait and higher prices.
Another customer reported a more negative experience, stating that the food they ordered (chicken dinner, catfish, and chicken wings) was cold. They also noted a decline in the size of the chicken wings and a change in the quality of the mac n cheese. Additionally, they received yams instead of the spicy greens they ordered and felt that the amount of hot sauce provided for two dinner plates was insufficient. This customer expressed disappointment, stating that the restaurant has changed and is not as good as it used to be.
In summary, Dada's Soul in Zion offers soul food with some dishes receiving positive feedback for flavor, such as the meatloaf and dressing. However, there are concerns regarding the dryness and fat content of certain meats, portion sizes relative to price, the size of desserts, potential unavailability of menu items, food temperature, order accuracy, and a perceived decline in overall quality compared to past experiences. Local users considering dining at Dada's Soul should take these varied recent reviews into account.

Food here is good authentic homemade style dishes flavor was nice on the meatloaf and the dressing was great. Only complaints would be the pork chops were abit dry and fatty I usually wouldn’t complain about portion sizes but in this case less is more I’d feel better paying 15 a plate for one portion instead of 2 or three for $20-24 per person. The cake slice was very small for $4.50 so that was disappointing and the fact they didn’t have mac n cheese at the moment but what I did eat I enjoyed. I would recommend this place just be prepared to wait and pay a good amount of money.
Ordered a chicken dinner with Mac,spicy greens, fries and chicken Catfish and greens and mac Chicken wings have gone down in size Food was cold Mac was not the same as it used to be to I ended up when I got home opening my plate to find no spicy greens but yams… an for 2 dinner plates they gave us 1 cup hot sauce 1 cup of mild when I had asked for extra They have changed an not the same as they use to They use to be good…sad times around there smh
Omg Niecee was so greeting, down to earth and very informative about everything on the menu based on what we had a taste for; She was very entertaining and hilarious, we truly wasnt expecting anything but to try this place out for the first time but we left feeling so good food was bomb 👌🏿service was amazing. Hands down 👐🏿 best soul food ever. Thank you 😊
Workers, were very nice and respectful. Got meatloaf…very tasty, cabbage, sweet potatoes were excellent. Sorry I didn’t care for the Mac and Cheese it was very dry and I’m not a big real cornbread person it was dry and no taste. Hubby loved the catfish and cabbage too. Great portion too. Would I come again….Yesss but wouldn’t get the Mac and Cheese or cornbread. Thanks for offering your service to us. D. Golden, Racine, Wi
My first time eating from here and I will be back. The customer service was good. The cashier was cool. She recommend me some of their best sides (Mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, dressing). The fried chicken was cooked fresh but not rushed. It was moist and tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They have real mild sauce! The portion size is filling. I got three meals but only took one picture before my family started eating. (Not pictured) baked chicken, collard greens, and red beans.
