About D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine

Welcome to D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine, a Chinese restaurant located at 20501 Yorba Linda Blvd Spc D3 in Yorba Linda, California. As part of the Chinese Restaurant category, D&D FireArt offers a range of Chinese dishes for both dine-in and take-out, succeeding a previous establishment known as Lettuce Wok and Roll. Based on recent customer reviews, the dining experience at D&D FireArt appears to be somewhat inconsistent, with varying opinions on food quality, portion sizes, and service.

One customer shared their experiences with the weekday and weekend lunch options. They noted that the weekday special lunch offered generous portions and included soup, an egg roll, and the entree. While they found the food to be "as good as Panda Express," they also commented that it was "not much better," describing it as "bland" with a "pretty tasteless" soup. In contrast, they mentioned that the weekend lunch was significantly more expensive and only included the entree, without the added soup and egg roll. This suggests a difference in value and offerings between their weekday and weekend lunch menus.

This same reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the service during their dine-in experiences. They reported "poor" service across at least four visits, noting that staff rarely checked on their table, even when the restaurant was not busy (with only one other table occupied on one occasion). They specifically mentioned the inability to get water glasses refilled, indicating a lack of attentiveness from the service staff. This consistent negative feedback regarding the service is a significant point for potential dine-in customers to consider.

In contrast to the dine-in experience described above, another customer shared their experience with take-out from D&D FireArt. They provided some context by mentioning their long-standing patronage of Lettuce Wok and Roll, the previous restaurant at this location, and their initial disappointment with D&D upon first trying it, citing "greasy and skimpy" food. However, their more recent take-out experience led to a change of opinion. They found the "shrimp with lobster sauce" to be "tasty and plentiful," as was the "Lo Mein noodles" they ordered. This positive feedback suggests that some dishes may be prepared well and offer good value for take-out customers.

Despite the positive remarks about the shrimp with lobster sauce and Lo Mein, this take-out customer did report an order inaccuracy. They had ordered combo fried rice but received a "mixed vegetable plate" instead. While they found the vegetable plate to be "very good," it was not what they had intended to order. They noted that the price was the same, so they did not contact the restaurant to report the mistake. This incident highlights a potential issue with order accuracy for take-out customers, although the customer's overall satisfaction with the food quality led them to "highly recommend the food and will be back again."

Based on these reviews, the food quality at D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine appears to be somewhat variable. The weekday lunch specials offer generous portions but may lack significant flavor. The weekend lunch is more expensive with fewer inclusions. However, certain take-out dishes, such as the shrimp with lobster sauce and Lo Mein noodles, have been praised for their taste and quantity. Order accuracy for take-out might be an area to be mindful of.

Regarding the environment of D&D FireArt, the reviews provide limited information. The mention of dine-in service for the lunch specials implies that the restaurant does have a dining area, but there are no descriptions of its ambiance or decor. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the food and service aspects.

The service experience seems to be a significant point of contention. One reviewer consistently reported poor dine-in service characterized by inattentiveness, while the take-out customer did not comment extensively on the service during pick-up. This suggests that the quality of service might depend on whether you are dining in or taking out.

There is no information available in these reviews regarding any promotional offers or unique features of D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine. The weekday lunch special with its included soup and egg roll could be considered a feature, but its taste was not highly rated. The fact that the restaurant took over from Lettuce Wok and Roll might be relevant to long-time residents familiar with the previous establishment, but the current culinary offerings and service appear to be under new management's direction.

In conclusion, D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine in Yorba Linda, CA, offers a mixed bag of experiences based on the available reviews. The weekday lunch specials provide generous portions at a reasonable price but may lack flavor. Weekend lunches are more expensive with fewer inclusions. Dine-in service has been reported as poor. However, take-out options like the shrimp with lobster sauce and Lo Mein have received positive feedback for taste and quantity, although order accuracy should be checked. Local users might want to try D&D FireArt for take-out based on the positive food reviews for specific dishes, but those considering dining in should be aware of the reported service issues. I have gone for lunch on both M-F and the weekend. The pictures are from the weekday special lunch which had generous portions and included soup, egg roll and the entree. The food was as good as Panda Express but not much better. It was bland and the soup was pretty tasteless. The weekend lunch is much more expensive and it only includes the entree. The service was poor. They never even came to see how we were doing and there was just one other table. We couldn’t even get our water glasses refilled. We have gone at least four times and the service was about the same.

I had tried take out from this restaurant many months ago. We had picked up food from Lettuce Wok and Roll, the previous owner, for many years and loved their food. However, when i first tried D&D, we were extremely disappointed. The food was greasy and skimpy. Last night changed our minds. The shrimp with lobster sauce was tasty and plentiful as well as the Lo Mein noodles we ordered. The only complaint we had was that instead of getting the combo fried rice I ordered, we were given the mixed vegetable plate which was very good but not what we ordered. Of course I didn't realize it until i arrived back home. The price was the same so I didn't bother calling the restaurant to let them know about the mistake. We highly recommend the food and will be back again.

The reviews are strong, so my expectations were high. I was impressed with how generous the regular sized servings were, plenty for two of us as we shared two different dishes and had leftovers. The food was very colorful and appealing and fresh looking. In Particular, I appreciate that the chicken seemed to be freshly prepared for the dish rather than the very typical pre-cooked tough and dry chicken I find in so many Asian dishes. This was a huge plus! However, based on the taste of the food it was a three star experience. I wish I could give them five stars, and I gave them an overall of four because of the above reasons. The two dishes we had, cashew chicken and spicy tofu eggplants tasted almost identical. They were bland, and there was absolutely no spice in spicy eggplant. There was nothing outstanding in the flavors. Just blah! No garlic or spices or ginger or anything to distinguish them. I love Asian food and food from around the world when it has interesting flavors and they use lots of spices that are not typical in American food. So to go to such a restaurant and have a great start with the beautiful appearance of the food was hugely disappointing. It won’t take much for them to up their game and become outstanding. I hope they read this review and pay attention to the flavor profile of their dishes. I would love to go back and look forward to interesting flavors because of the great things they’re doing well. Lastly, the restaurant is very fresh and clean looking to be very new. Apparently it’s been open about a year. They are so close to being great. I hope they make it!

I Recently had the pleasure of dining at D & D FireArt, and I must say that the experience was truly delightful. The Vegetable Spring Rolls started our meal with a crispy and flavourful delight. As for the chicken dishes, the Chicken Lo Mein impressed with its tender chicken, perfectly cooked noodles, and harmonious vegetable medley. The Sweet and Sour Chicken offered a tantalizing balance of tangy and sweet, accompanied by vibrant bell peppers and Juicy pineapple. And let's not forget the Garlic Sauce Chicken--a tender and succulent dish immersed in a rich garlic-infused sauce that left us craving more. The attentive staff added a personal touch, ensuring impeccable service and showcasing their menu knowledge. The charming ambiance sets the tone for a fantastic culinary journey.
