Curry Leaf Indian Restaurant

I have been getting food from here for the last 10 years, dating back to when the restaurant was located in Palatine. While just about everything is very tasty, the chicken shish kabob is quite amazing. Amazing service as well; chef Ali goes out of his way to provide exceptional customer service.

Food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Service was friendly and accommodating. Naan was hot, toasty, and freshly made with a delightfully chewy texture. Atmosphere as expected for takeout place with a few tables, was pleasant with soft music and very clean. I did dine in and was very pleased with the food and service.

A small regular Indian restaurant in Libertyville in the northern suburbs of Chicago. They took a pretty long time to get my order ready. Took them 45 minutes to get my order ready. When I wanted to cancel then they were like it will be ready in 30 min. But it still took them almost 45 minutes in the end. Inside the restaurant the atmosphere is pretty basic with unimpressive tables and chairs. Only 1 person who mages the counter and gets orders from inside the kitchen.

I ordered the curry shrimp with vegetables for pickup. When calling to place my order, the gentleman who answered was very helpful and patient with me while helping me figure out what I wanted. When I arrived, my order was ready. I ate once I got back to my hotel and the food was good. The shrimp was a nice size and plentiful. I think there could have been a bigger variety of vegetables, but there was nothing to complain about. I'm tempted to go back today.

Why does Curry Leaf only have, just over a 4 star rating? I have been all over the Midwest and this restaurant is comparable to some of the best Indian food I've had. I assume, by the size of the seating area in the restaurant, they do more carryout than dine in. We dined in and everything was spectacular! I had the Mixed Curry Vegetables and Chicken Tikka Masala, and she had the Butter Chicken and Aloo Ghobi. It was amazing. 5-stars all day long!
