About Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, located at 4758 Lanier Islands Pkwy, Buford, GA 30518, USA, provides meal takeaway services. While traditionally known as a breakfast spot, recent customer feedback suggests a shift in food quality since the pandemic. One reviewer mentioned that the pancakes have become doughy, and the fried chicken is now bland, crunchy, and tough, possibly resembling cooked and microwaved chicken.
Despite these changes, the same reviewer still considers Cracker Barrel to be the best value breakfast option (excluding Waffle House) but ranks its food quality lower compared to other breakfast establishments. Another customer reported a less than satisfactory visit, noting that biscuits were not brought to the table, no sauces were provided with the chicken tenders, the tenders were dry, and the okra was also dry and not good. This reviewer mentioned that their server attributed the food issues to the hostess and that their past experiences at Cracker Barrel were generally better. They did, however, highlight the fun selection of items available in the general store.
Based on these reviews, while Cracker Barrel Old Country Store offers meal takeaway, potential customers should be aware of the recent feedback regarding the quality of some of their food items. The restaurant also features a general store with a variety of unique merchandise. For placing takeaway orders or for inquiries, you can contact them at (770) 831-5539 or +1 770-831-5539.

Customer Reviews
Cracker Barrel used to be a great breakfast spot but since the pandemic the quality of the food has changed and the vibe is like going to your local Bridge or Bingo Tournament and/or your Northeast Georgia Medical Appointment. I used to love their pancakes and fried chicken but the pancakes have changed from tasty to doughy. Their chicken used to rival any Southern Fried chicken recipe, but now it’s bland, crunchy and tough (like cooked and microwaved). No, I didn’t go on the weekend, it was actually a Wednesday. With that, I have to rate CB as the best value breakfast joint (not counting Waffle House) but #5 in quality of food behind, J Chris, Snooze, Flying Biscuit, and First Watch.
Not that great of a visit. Biscuits came were not brought to the table. Ordered chicken tenders. No sauces were given. Tenders were on the dry side. Okra was dry and not good. Server was fine. Blamed the hostess for food not coming out correctly. Usually, service and food is a lot better but have not been to a Cracker Barrel in a couple of years. They always have a fun selection of items in their general store.
We got here at 1:30pm & got our food at 3pm. It wasn't even very busy. The ham tastes and smells rotten. The hot chocolate tasted like toilet water. Our waiter got everyone's order wrong. This is my last time going to cracker barrel.
Waited 20 mins past the time my food was to be ready for half my order to be missing! When I said something I was then told they were out of two of my items and just decided not to tell me. They also gave me a slice of pie instead of my whole pie. After telling them I waited another 10 mins for my 5 items that was missing to then be handed peaches in a cup as my cobbler! This was ridiculous for how much they charge! On top that they didn't give me any silverware!!!! And weird stuff in the eggs
This was my second time going to a Cracker Barrel restaurant. My first time was over 20 years ago. On this visit we had a nice waitress. When the food arrived it was delivered by a male waiter that was totally rude. He fell short of the customer service skills required to work with the public. As for the food, the gravy tasted like grease and the hash browns were mushy. They added some sort of creamy cheese sauce. I definitely will not be visiting this food chain again.
