My wife and I really enjoy this place. Always a great local feel, and right off the ocean with a great view. Been coming here since 2010 when we were first stationed here, and each time I come back for training, etc. Still the same. Very well priced. Crab is well cooked. Recommend trying the gumbo and hush puppies. First time I tried these crab cakes. They were awesome!

After spending the morning on the beach, found this wonderful spot for lunch. We were the first customers of the day so we got to enjoy seeing all the dining area. Customer service was great and the food we chose amazing. Our favorite was the hickory smoked Tuna dip. Please give this place a try on your next trip.

Visited the Crab Trap restaurant after a trip to the Naval Air Force Museum for a late lunch. Very good service. Food was good especially the seafood gumbo. We had the deep fried crab claws for and crab dip for appetizers. We ordered the lunch Mahi-Mahi for the main. They even offer deep fried Mahi-mahi on request. Tried a local brew and walked to the beach afterwards. Nice place and atmosphere.

I recently visited The Crab Trap in Perdido Key Beach and wanted to share my experience. The crab legs at this restaurant were incredibly flavorful and juicy, definitely a highlight of the meal. However, I found the shrimp to be a little dry, which was a bit disappointing. The corn on the cob and potatoes were also on the dry side, and the potatoes were undercooked. Another aspect that didn't quite meet my expectations was the sausage, which was grilled instead of being boiled. This took away from the traditional flavor of the boil. On a positive note, the crab claws were delicious and the fried preparation was a great choice. Taking everything into consideration, I would say that the average rating of 3.9 stars is about correct. I recently revisited The Crab Trap in Perdido Key beach, as recommended by a friend. I must say, the blackened redfish I had was absolutely delicious, and the collard greens were simply amazing. It was definitely a step up from the crab boil I had during my previous visit. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service this time around. Despite the restaurant being near empty, my drink stayed empty for quite some time. We arrived early to avoid the crowd, but it seems that the service is better when they are busy. Overall, I would still rate The Crab Trap at 3.5 stars.

My pasta was congealed, pasty, and cold. The others in my party were equally disappointed with their meals. There were 4 tables inside that were occupied and 4 outside, with 4 servers on staff. This should have been sufficient staffing. I ordered another drink and it took 20 minutes to arrive and only after I watched the waiter react to the bartender saying something. It wasn't worth the $70 I paid for two drinks and a bowl of "shrimp pesto linguine". I ended up throwing away the 2nd drink as it was just as bland as the pasta.
