Council Oak Steaks and Seafood

My visit to Council Oak for dinner was a fantastic experience. This was our third time dining there, and each visit has been exceptional. The waitstaff were incredibly sweet, and everything was served promptly. The food is definitely worth the price. Although I’m not a gambler, I go to the casino just to eat at this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse, even if it might be a bit pricey for some. Trust me, the experience is worth every penny—you won’t feel cheated. Eating their food brings me so much comfort because it’s incredibly flavorful and delicious. You should definitely try it today!

My friend treated me for my Birthday. The Fresh rolls with garlic butter, Filet Mignon melted in my mouth and cooked to perfection! roasted asparagus with sauce, buttermilk whipped potatoes, finishing with carrot cake and cinnamon sorbet was the best meal I’ve ever had. I look forward to returning again. You are treated royally! Serving sizes was enough to share and still have leftovers to take home! Treat yourself and you will have no regrets!

We started our dinner with Wedge Salad, Chopped Salad, and French Onion Soup. All were delicious and highly recommended. We skipped other appetizers and good thing - the salads are large! We ordered 2 Filet Mignon and a Bone-in Filet Mignon. The Chopped Salad does have delightfully spicy red peppers, if that’s your thing. All were delicious and perfectly done. We also ordered side dishes: Creamed Spinach, Duck Fat Hash Browns, and Loaded Baked Potato. All were warm, fresh and delicious. the side dishes are large and shareable. The baked potato definitely falls into the massive category. Bacon (on the salads and with the baked potato) here is no tiny bacon bits from a bag. This is more like thick slices of pork belly. Flavorful indeed. Decent wine options - enjoyed Cabernet Sauvignon and a Margarita. All were good. Lovely atmosphere, within but separated from the casino. Comfortable and quiet. Recommend making reservations and requesting one of the delightful roomy U-shaped booths. Service was wonderful. Server was happy to move at the pace we wanted to. Water glasses were never empty. The delicious Parkerhouse rolls and butter replenished as desired. Empty/dirty dishes promptly removed. Without a doubt, I would recommend. We will be back for sure!

On a recent trip to Chicago from Canada, my friends and I decided to cross the border into Indiana, just to check it off our list since it was so close. We stopped at the Hard Rock Casino, and I won the rock-paper-scissors game to pick the restaurant. I chose Council Oak Steaks and Seafood and wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the Tuna Tataki and a half-dozen oysters. Coming from Vancouver, where we have incredible seafood, I was impressed—the tuna and oysters were just as good as anything I’ve had back home. Council Oak gets my recommendation!

Passin through and my waiter Christian H was great. Food was incredible! I’ll def be back when I’m in the area.
