Food is decent. Decent portions for other foods. The claypot portions are a little small for the price. Excited to finally have some claypot closer than Chinatown. The claypot rice though, could have had more sauce. If you need more, don’t forget to ask for it they will give you extra. The rice rolls on the other hand are meh. Not really worth getting. Wish they had the Hk style.

Clay Pot Cafe is a Cantonese styled Clay Pot restaurant located near Super88 in Allston, expanding from its other store located in Boston's Chinatown. The staff are friendly. It does help if you speak Cantonese, but staff treat you the same if you speak to them in English as well. The food comes out quickly, and the place is cleanly. We got a wide range of clay pot dishes as well as vegetable dishes. The Clay Pot style was replicated very well here, and it tastes like traditional clay pot dishes found in Hong Kong or other enclaves. The price is good for the portion, and the meats were flavorful and went well with the clay pot rice.

Would recommend for some cantonese style food in the area. The eel clay pot rice, mushroom casserole, and garlic stir fry vegetables was delicious and full of flavour. Will be crowded during peak lunch and dinner times; however, worth the wait. In my opinion, claypot is more authentic than that at the chinatown location despite it being the original.

Much larger than the Chinatown location. Don't like the ordering on phone app. Wish the menu on app was better listed and description or chinese writing. Order a dish thinking it was something else.

Clay Pot is a Chinatown institution so I was excited to see a second location closer to me. This location is much larger, and they were able to accommodate my group of seven for a late Sunday lunch. It was only about a ten minute wait when we got there around 1pm. We got three large clay pots as well as a serving of their eggplant. The sauce and the texture of the eggplant were perfect. The eel and pork clay pot was my favorite between that and the beef clay pot. Overall I enjoyed the meal and the service was super friendly and efficient. I'd definitely come back!
