City Cafe

It's so nice to find a place where gluten free friends visiting town can enjoy whatever they want on the menu! The cafe and bakery are dedicated gluten free and dairy free (we've gotten vegan and gluten free cakes from the bakery before and they're amazing). It was my first visit to the restaurant for a sit down meal and my visitors and I loved everything about the place!

BEST GF BREAD!! Traveling through upstate NY we came across this 100% GF/DF restaurant and couldn’t be more glad we did! Hands down the best GF bread/bagels we’ve ever had (and we eat a lot of GF bread lol). Even if you’re not gluten free the food is fantastic and leaves you wondering “this can’t be gluten free?!”. On our way out we grabbed a chocolate chip cookie which was soft yet chewy and filled with chocolate chips! The staff was super friendly and hard working. I Highly recommend this cafe for anyone who likes good food! 😊

LOVED this place! What an honestly adorable little spot! The inside was so cute, cozy, and such great decor. While we were there, the woman on the cash register was seriously SO sweet. Very welcoming, friendly, and overall, it just gave such a sweet & kind vibe. My fiancé & I got the chicken sandwich & pesto chicken panini, soup special (potato bacon soup), two cupcakes (lemon lavender & cookie dough), plus I got two cookies from the fridge before we left. Everything was SO good. The cupcakes were soft & perfect. The lemon lavender had an amazing lemon taste & perfect texture. I got the chocolate chunk cookie before leaving, and it was definitely one of the best gluten-free cookies I've ever had! I was hard to tell. Everything was even gluten & dairy free! We will absolutely be visiting again when we are in the area! This place was great for a quick bite to eat, sit down & relax. The vibe of the entire place was so welcoming & I loved it!

Great for allergies and vegan, vegetarian, soy free, gluten free, healthy, plus meat dishes and wines and desserts all gluten free I believe. I don't have those strict needs but I love the place. Talk about filling yet light, fresh but not bland. Though some sauce options for the foods would be nice to add extra flavor for those that aren't watching every calorie. I love the hummus veggie wrap, the house chips are pretty great, and the vegan mac n cheese was pricey until you see the portion & quality and flavor. Not the cheapest but worth the price especially for those with allergies or that are super healthy wanting to dine out in a nice place. Cozy nice place. And even through being busy they show they care about each customer experience. Highly recommended and will be back more than the twice I've been so far.

Just went out to dinner and was informed that almost half the menu was unavailable. We also had to wait 40 minutes after placing our order to find out the kitchen was out of onion rings. The food is good enough but not for such a long wait for chicken tenders and a fried chicken sandwich. The only saving grace to this experience was our waitress MacKenzie who was doing her best given the circumstances. She also offered a nearby table with children colored pencils from her personal belongings so they could color on the children's menus. I used to love this place for the unique experience of an all gluten free cafe/bakery but each time I go there is just another thing that makes me less impressed.
