City Buffet

I recently revisited City Buffet after hearing it had been "remodeled," but sadly, the changes were underwhelming. While they raised the prices, the variety of food has not improved....in fact, it seems like there are fewer options than before. The flavor has gotten better in some dishes, which is a small positive, but it doesn't make up for the lack of choices. For the current price, I expected a much wider selection and better quality overall. This used to be a much better place, with more variety and a better value for the cost. Now, it feels like the higher price is unjustified, and the so-called improvements don’t enhance the experience. It’s not terrible, but it doesn’t stand out anymore.

Good hibachi grill. Cleaned well so no old oil flavor. Ice cream bars! Clean. Tables are in good shape. Price during week night was $17.

The best buffet in town! Generous portions and always fresh wonderful service reasonably priced! It’s a good thing. I live at least 20 minutes away. I would be a frequent flyer on a weekly basis. Definitely my new go to place.

I know what you’re thinking… massive Chinese Buffet? Not safe… well this one is. The food is hot and fresh. It’s become a weekly tradition for my friend and I to have dinner there. Chinese buffets are the one restaurant you want busy (so the food turns over all time). This one is good. They also have sushi and Mongolian BBQ.

Most of the food was lukewarm or straight up room temp. Some dry, some gooey. Not all of it was bad but the majority definitely was, I knew what I was getting into with this place and it's on me for going after years of ignoring it, willing to give it a try again. Won't be doing that again ever. The host was good and he was a nice guy. The server was lackluster and really didn't want to be there, which yeah I can understand to a degree, but still being attentive would've been nice. It did seem clean enough at the very least so that's something. I'm genuinely surprised this place has survived this long for so many years, I don't wish for its downfall but I've no reason to give them my money ever again.
