About Chung Hing

Chung Hing is a Chinese Restaurant located at 7160 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA 92121, USA. You can contact them at (858) 695-3354 or +1 858-695-3354. Please note that Chung Hing operates on a cash-only basis, so be sure to have cash on hand for your purchase.

Customer reviews regarding the food at Chung Hing are varied. One customer who ordered the shrimp lo mein lunch combo (#12) reported receiving a "quite bland shrimp stir fry with celery and bean sprouts over fried wonton skins," noting that it was not what they expected. They also found the chow mein and fried rice to be plain. This reviewer suggested that the low price of the lunch might contribute to positive reviews despite the food quality, and recommended trying the #1 combo with char siu (bbq pork) instead.

Another customer who ordered the #4 to go, which was supposed to include roast pork, an egg roll, lo mein, and fried rice, reported a significant issue: the roast pork was missing from their order. This resulted in a negative experience, especially given the 15-minute drive to the restaurant and the lack of opportunity to return for the missing item.

On a more positive note, several customers mentioned the friendly service provided by the two older Asian ladies working at Chung Hing. They were described as "nice and friendly" and efficient in preparing orders, with customers generally appearing happy. This suggests that while experiences with the food may differ, the service is a notable aspect of Chung Hing.

For local users considering Chung Hing, it's important to be aware of the cash-only policy and the mixed reviews regarding food quality, particularly concerning lunch combos and order accuracy. The #1 combo with char siu has been mentioned as a potentially better option. The friendly and quick service provided by the staff is a consistent positive point in the feedback.

Cash only! Luckily I had cash on me that day. I wanted shrimp lomein for lunch so I googled it when I was in the area. What I got was not shrimp lomein (lunch combo #12). It was quite bland shrimp stir fry with celery and bean sprouts over fried wonton skins. The chow mein and fried rice were plain too. The lunch was cheap and I think maybe that's why it has all these great reviews. Food was not good. A lot of people were ordering the #1 combo with the char sui (bbq pork) so maybe I should have ordered that instead. The two older Asian ladies working there were nice and friendly to me. They were quick getting everyone's orders ready and the customers all seemed happy.

I ordered #4 to go and unfortunately I was not looking when the lady was putting the food in my to go box. When I got back to work and opened there was no pork. The #4 supposed to have roast pork, egg roll, lo mei. And fried rice. Not a good experience specially that I drive 15 mins to get it and I am not driving back to get my pork so basically I wasted $13 for no meat food!

Best takeouts Chinese in the Miramar area. Service is always fast, prices are affordable, and the food is great. I’ve been going here for years. Make sure to get the #1 meal with the BBQ Pork!

It’s like kinda improved version of Panda Express. $10.75 pretax for any combination with more than 10 choices. These two dishes are freshly stir-fried, rather than prepared and left there to keep warm. Chow mein and fried rice are much more delicious than Panda

My friend I care about deeply she is Chinese and invited me to this buffet I'm a Caucasian man with an Italian and Irish background I prefer meat and potatoes . Nevertheless I was extremely impressed with the layout of the restaurant and the staff's ability to be so attentive to a large volume of people . The selection for me was minimal but I did find some things that I did enjoy like orange chicken egg rolls rice some vegetables and a variety of sweet desert items and ice cream my very dear and sweet friend was devouring the crab legs and insisted that I help I would have enjoyed them more if I did not have bad tooth that was affecting me . Anyway it was an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend this place even if you're a picky eater like myself there's plenty to choose from and your trips to and from the buffet are endless go as many times as you like and if your friend or family is beautiful it will enhance the experience 100 %
