Finding this place was a score for me! I enjoyed everything. I will agree with one reviewer who said that the hot and sour soup could be a little bit more sour, but I still liked it. I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice, an egg roll, and the hot and sour soup. The egg roll reminded me of the eggrolls I grew up with, and it was great! The hot and sour soup was close, but the Mongolian beef was superb!

Highly recommended. Stopped in for a quick lunch as I am a big fan of Sichuan food. Sat down, ordered a hot tea, and spoke with the waitress. My favorite dish is "Mala Ji Ding". At this place, it is called "Spicy Chicken". They add a little Texas flair by adding sautéed jalapeños. It's a nice, spicy touch that adds a new note to an already beautiful flavor profile. I will be back.

I read a lot of Google reviews and decided to have a late lunch here. Let’s say the worst the dish we ordered was the Szechuan Style cold noodles. The noodles were 3-4 inches long and it was too sweet for the Szechuan style noodles. We didn’t ask for refund but they refund it. The second worst dish was the cumin lamb. I have never had this kind of cumin lamb. There was a lot of onion, green and red bell peppers as filler of the dish. The lamb was way too tender. I mean I couldn’t taste those was lamb or something else. This is not cumin lamb at all. The shredded pork with spicy garlic sauce is ok. The beef tendon and tripe in chili sauce is best of all dishes we ordered however there was no tripe in the dish at all. The flavor was really good. We don’t think we will revisit here. We really hope that there are some good Chinese restaurants in Spring and the woodlands. Unfortunately we still need to drive to the China town.

Great Sichuan Cuisine, however I would not say authentic since there is deviations. Too much MSG, I had to drink lots of water after the dinner. We came here due to friend’s recommendation. We were the first customers for dinner. The waiter was OK nothing special or impressive. My family ordered much more than what I could eat just to taste their signature dashes. Overall was good, I rate 4-star as some dishes need improvements. Here are more details; (1) Hot Sour Soup 酸辣汤, 3-Star: it’s hot and spicy but missing sour taste. Too much white peeper over-wrote other ingredients’ flavors. (2) Sichuan Cold Noodles 四川凉面 4-star: we like it. Not too spicy but includes sweet and vinegar tastes great appetizer. (3) Chingqing Spicy Noodle 重庆小面3-Star: not authentic but tasty. The noodle was saggy and lost texture. (4) Kong Pao Chicken 宫保鸡丁 was the 5-Star dishe. Very authentic Sichuan cuisine. The chicken had crispy outer layer but tender inside. All the peanuts are fresh and crispy. Awesome! (5) Fish with Toufu 豆花鱼, 3-Star: come on, too much flour covering on fish. When I ate the fish, I felt like eating a dumping. (6) Di Dan Xian 地三鲜,4-star: this is not part of Sichuan Cuisine but rather northern Chinese food. Ok but not great. The eggplant is smashed and a little salty. The whole dish missed color…too dark.

This place is actually called Big City Kitchen. I had the sesame tofu and it was great The tofu was perfectly fried and the sauce didn't overwhelm the dish. Also the broccoli was cooked just the right amount of time. I also was able to get brown rice with my meal. The service was friendly. Prices were very reasonable. The menu seemed pretty extensive.
