Customer reviews for Chu's Garden highlight several key aspects of this establishment. One reviewer noted a somewhat unusual experience regarding the location, mentioning homeless individuals near the parking lot, and a policy of payment before food service. This policy was explained by the friendly owner as a measure due to past issues with stolen pickup orders and customers leaving without paying.

Despite these initial observations, the same reviewer found the food to be "actually pretty good," specifically praising the well-cooked and flavorful kung pao chicken and green beans. They also noted the large portions and very reasonable prices. The owner was described as very friendly.

Another customer echoed the sentiment of friendly service and emphasized the "huge" portions, stating that they overate and still had enough for another meal the next day. A third reviewer described the service as fast and noted a high volume of to-go orders, although they chose to dine in. They commented that while the restaurant itself is visibly aged, the quality of the food more than compensated for it.

Based on the reviews, Chu's Garden offers a variety of Chinese dishes, including kung pao chicken, green beans, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, and chow mein. A notable feature is the generous portion sizes offered at reasonable prices. The service is consistently described as friendly and fast. While the restaurant's ambiance might be dated, the focus appears to be on providing good food and value.

Given the owner's explanation for the prepayment policy, it seems they prioritize ensuring payment for their food. The high number of to-go orders suggests that takeout service is a popular option. No specific promotional information was mentioned in the provided reviews.

In summary, Chu's Garden in Inglewood is a Chinese Restaurant known for its friendly service, very large portions, and flavorful food, all offered at reasonable prices. While the physical environment might be showing its age, the quality and quantity of the food, along with the owner's hospitality, seem to be the main draws for customers. Be prepared for a prepayment policy when ordering.

It was a quite interesting experience. There were homeless people sleeping beside the parking lot. You have to pay before the food was served. The lady owner told us that there were instances the that food prepared for pickups were stolen and people were leaving without paying after meals. That being said, the food was actually pretty good. The kung pao chicken and the green beans were well cooked and flavorful. The portions were large and the price was very reasonable. The owner was very friendly.

Friendly service and huge portions. Huge. We overate and had enough for another meal the next day. Fast. Lots of to-go orders, but we dined it. The restaurant itself is definitely showing it's age, but the food more than made up for it. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice and chow mein.

Very interesting experience. Food was nasty, had the sweet and sour chicken that had no flavor what so ever. Barelllly can taste any chicken. Veggies were undercooked. Kung pao chicken was ok but expect to run in a language barrier when you are ordering food. Also the waiter doesnt listen to what you say and he will have to guess on what you are saying. Place is also dirty... dirty utensils and plates were dirty. Cups were dirty and I didnt use one of the two forks he gave us, but I did touch it and showed how they wernt paired and the waiter returned it into the clean tray gloating saying "oh not used."
