About Choy Wong Kitchen

Choy Wong Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant located at 708 S 50th St #1631, Philadelphia, PA 19143, USA. They can be contacted at (215) 476-9645 or +1 215-476-9645.

One customer found the "Rice was good" and enjoyed the "egg roll" which had "a Wasabi flavor to it." They also noted that "the people were very polite." However, they disliked the "bonless spare ribs" finding them "dry" and preferring a "long skinny boneless" cut over the "chubby bonless" served. Despite this, they conceded, "It's genuinely alright" and mentioned receiving "a good amount of food for 13 meat to rice 50/50."

Another reviewer advised, "Don’t let store front fool you. Yes… it’s a cold and nasty front with fantastic egg drop soup and roast pork ends !!" This suggests that while the exterior might be unappealing, the food inside, particularly the egg drop soup and roast pork ends, is highly recommended.

Based on these reviews, Choy Wong Kitchen in Philadelphia, PA, offers generally good food with some standout items like the rice and the Wasabi-flavored egg roll. The staff is polite. However, the boneless spare ribs may not meet all preferences, with some finding them dry. Despite this, the restaurant provides a good amount of food for the price. Importantly, the appearance of the store front is described as cold and nasty, but the egg drop soup and roast pork ends are considered fantastic, suggesting that the food quality inside is better than the exterior might imply. Local users should not be deterred by the store front and might find some enjoyable dishes here, particularly if they like Wasabi-flavored egg rolls and are looking for good value.

The environment is described as having a "cold and nasty" store front, which is misleading compared to the food quality. Services include order taking and food preparation. Key features include good rice, unique Wasabi-flavored egg rolls, polite service, and fantastic egg drop soup and roast pork ends. A potential drawback is the preparation of the boneless spare ribs, which some customers find dry and prefer a different cut. The restaurant offers a good amount of food for around $13 with a 50/50 meat-to-rice ratio. No specific promotional information is available in the provided text.

Rice was good , the egg roll has a Wasabi flavor to it which I liked its good , the people were very polite but I didn't like the bonless spare ribs they were dry and due to be thicker it was more dry then saucey the long skinny boneless I preferr . It's genuinely alright not a fan of the chubby bonless spare ribs. They do give you a good amount of food for 13 meat to rice 50/50

I have only tried the Chinese donuts, scallion pancakes and funnel cake. They were all so good! The Chinese donuts and funnel cake are both topped with powdered sugar and it makes them. Any other place I have purchased these items have table sugar and it breaks it for me. The scallion pancakes comes with this sauce that I can't really describe but it's so good. I definitely recommend all three of these items!
