About Chow's Restaurant
Chow's Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 3361 Rivers Ave in North Charleston, South Carolina. As a local establishment within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, Chow's aims to serve the community with Chinese cuisine. Situated on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, it is accessible to local residents and visitors in the area.
Based on the limited customer feedback available online, experiences at Chow's Restaurant appear to be notably negative. One reviewer described the establishment as "horrible," citing multiple issues with their dining experience. According to this feedback, the food was deemed "bad" and "expensive," while the portion sizes were considered "too small." Additionally, this customer reported an "excessive" wait time and characterized the employees as "not friendly," painting a concerning picture of the overall customer experience.
Another review offered a somewhat different perspective, suggesting a decline in the restaurant's quality over time. This customer mentioned that Chow's was once "a great place to get good food" but has since been negatively affected by the neighborhood and the age of the owners, who are perceived as no longer being able to maintain the same standards. This review stated that the food is now "ok but not like how it was," especially in relation to the price, implying a decrease in value for money.
Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to provide a positive or even neutral introduction to Chow's Restaurant based solely on this feedback. The comments raise significant concerns about the quality of the food, the pricing relative to portion sizes, the efficiency of service (due to long wait times), and the friendliness of the staff. These are critical aspects of any dining experience, and the negative remarks suggest potential shortcomings in these areas at Chow's Restaurant.
Information regarding the environment of Chow's Restaurant is limited. The second reviewer's comment about the restaurant being "run down by the neighborhood" might imply a less than desirable or outdated ambiance. However, without more specific details, it is difficult to accurately describe the physical setting of the establishment. The first review does not provide any insights into the restaurant's atmosphere or cleanliness, focusing primarily on the food and service aspects.
Similarly, details about the specific services offered by Chow's Restaurant are not mentioned in the provided reviews. It is unknown whether they offer dine-in, takeout, or delivery options. Potential customers would need to contact the restaurant directly or look for additional information online to ascertain the full range of services available.
In terms of features, the reviews do not highlight any specific dishes or unique selling points of Chow's Restaurant. The first reviewer simply stated that "the food is bad," without mentioning any particular items. The second reviewer referred to a past positive experience but noted a decline in the current food quality. Therefore, based on this information, there are no apparent features that distinguish Chow's Restaurant positively from other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Unsurprisingly, given the negative feedback, there is no mention of any promotional information for Chow's Restaurant in the provided reviews. It is unlikely that an establishment receiving such criticism would have active promotions to attract new customers. Any potential promotions would need to be sought through other sources, such as the restaurant's website (if available) or by contacting them directly.
In conclusion, the available customer feedback paints a concerning picture of Chow's Restaurant in North Charleston. Reviewers have expressed dissatisfaction with the food quality, pricing, portion sizes, wait times, and staff friendliness. One review also suggested a decline in the restaurant's condition and food quality over time. Potential customers should be aware of these negative experiences when considering dining at Chow's Restaurant. Without more positive or detailed information, it is difficult to recommend this establishment based on the provided reviews.
For individuals in the North Charleston area looking for a Chinese restaurant, Chow's Restaurant is located at 3361 Rivers Ave, 29405. However, given the negative feedback regarding various aspects of the dining experience, potential customers may want to exercise caution and consider other options in the vicinity. It would be prudent to seek more recent and potentially more positive reviews or perhaps inquire directly with the restaurant about their current standards and offerings before making a decision.

This place is horrible! The food is bad, expensive and the portions are too small. Also, the wait time is excessive and the employees are not friendly.
It was a great place to get good food now it's run down by the neighborhood. An the owner are old now and can't keep up just my two cents. Food is ok but not like how it was especially the price
I don't live in SC anymore but I still visit and work in North Charleston. Often I'll try and get into Mr. Chows and order food. His food is great! The atmosphere the neighborhood leave a lot to be desired, but it's incredibly good.
This is not a Chinese restaurant. Its a subpar wing spot. Im almost embarrassed to call it that. The wings were bland. I dont know about all the rave reviews. I feel as if the positive reviews are from people who have never had good American Chinese food. I ordered wings (which they wouldn’t cut) and house fried rice and also beef and broccoli. The broccoli was soft and mushy it was obviously frozen not fresh broccoli. There was hardly any rice and the shrimp was so small there was also no chicken in my house fried rice They threw in a few pieces of beef in my beef and broccoli. It tasted like diy chinese food and definitely not worth 40 dollars. If you want 5 star Asian Cuisine go to Ichiban, its in West Ashley its Chinese and Japanese fusion. Its the Best Asian cuisine I've had in this city,I just didnt want to go over the bridge today. I've waited years to try Chow and wish I never did.The food is flavor less. Overpriced and not worth it. I will definitely not be eating from here again.
Inside atmosphere it's okay but not outside of the restaurant And they no longer sell my favorite item egg roll
