About Chorong House

Located at 1121 E Fayette St Apartment 1 in Syracuse, NY, Chorong House is a Korean restaurant that has garnered positive feedback for its flavorful food and friendly service. You can contact them at (315) 428-0501 or +1 315-428-0501 for inquiries or to place an order, and they also offer delivery through DoorDash.

Customers who have ordered through DoorDash report consistently well-made dishes. The dine-in experience is also highly praised, with particular attention given to the "on point" kimchi and the complementary bean sprouts and seaweed salad that accompany the fried rice. The service is noted to be fast and super friendly, making it a solidified "go-to" spot for those in the area.

Specific dishes receiving high praise include the beef fried rice, consistently described as flavorful and perfectly made, often topped with a fried egg cooked over medium with a desirable runny yolk. The kimchi fried rice is also a standout, lauded for its rich and pleasing flavor that is not overpowering and pairs well with the bean sprouts. Another highly recommended dish is the Duk-Bok-Ki.

For takeout Korean food, one customer who visited around 4:30 PM found the small restaurant not busy. They noted a somewhat strange parking lot with two entrance doors. They enjoyed the Dak Kal Bi and Den Jang Chigae, highlighting their spiciness. However, they found the side of kimchi to be smaller compared to other restaurants and wished for more pork in the Den Jang Chigae. They also mentioned that the prices were a bit higher, but the staff was friendly.

Overall, Chorong House appears to be a highly recommended local Korean restaurant in Syracuse, offering delicious and well-prepared food for both dine-in and takeout, with delivery available through DoorDash. While one takeout customer noted slightly higher prices and smaller kimchi portions, the positive feedback regarding the flavor and quality of dishes like the fried rice, kimchi, and Duk-Bok-Ki, along with the friendly service, suggests a worthwhile culinary experience.

Perfect little hole in the wall. So we had ordered from here a few times via DoorDash. Every time everything was perfectly made. When we came to sit down however that’s where it got solidified as a go to every time we are here. Firstly the kimchi is on point. The bean sprouts and seaweed salad are great compliments to the fried rice. Service was very fast and super friendly. The beef fried rice is always flavorful and perfectly made. The fried egg was over medium with the right amount of jelly yolk. The kimchi fried rice: more please. The flavor is rich in a pleasing way and isn’t too strong. Pairs very well with the bean sprouts. This is a go to dinner spot for sure when we have time to sit down and relax. If you’re in the area and have some time sit down and enjoy. Also the Duk-Bok-Ki is fantastic as well.

To-go for Korean food. I came here around 4:30pm. The restaurant is small and wasn’t busy. The parking lot is a bit strange. There are 2 doors to go inside: front and side. I got Dak Kal Bi and Den Jang Chigae. They tasted good, and very spicy. The kimchi I got as side dish is quite small compared to other restaurant I’ve been to. And wish there were more pork in Den Jang Chigae. Price is a bit higher as well. Staff was friendly

This place is definitely a hidden gem! Don’t judge from outside appearance. Inside atmosphere is terrific with fast and kind staff. Food was absolutely delicious. We ordered Kim Bob, hot stone Bibimbob and Chicken Bulgogi. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try more dishes they all looked so good!

Visited here with my kid while touring schools, in from NYC and just looking for a bite to eat. We were welcomed and made to feel at home by the hospitality and we still remember how good the meal was, 2 years later. So delicious, we recommend it to others visiting upstate.

Small restaurant, but good food and amazing service! I always get the Gimbap when I come here, but I decided to get the rice cake and dumpling soup this time (떡만두국). It was so delicious and comforting!
